((((hugs)))) AnW'smum.. it has been a hard week for you and the final straw was destined to come.. I am glad you are all friends again now.. we often do take out our feelings on the ones we love the most.. because we know they understand and love us back!
The children have shared their germs with me again.. my throat is off on one again and I have a tickling niggling cough.. The house looks like a war zone and I can't decide whether to go to pub for a bit.. or just to go to bed and tackle the house tomorrow! I want to go out but am really tired.. I guess I could go out for a short time.. I don't NEED to stay out all night do I???
I'll go find some drugs and see how I feel then.. my legs are killing me and I've been running on kapake this afternoon.. we know it is bad when I HAVE to take painkillers!
Anyway.. see y'all laterLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
pigpen, nope you don't have to stay out all night, but you probably will :rotfl: hope you feel better in the morning whatever you decide to do.
bother, just noticed a pile of dry, clean, laundry that needs putting awayI think I will take it upstairs and hide it, be mean to wake the boys now putting it away wouldn't I
I'll put it away tomorrow, honestly I will, well maybe when we get home..~Currently watching Escape to the Country, Catherine Gee I think she is called hosts it, she's wearing a jacket with what I think is supposed to be a flower on it, wonder if anyones told her it looks more like a scrunched up yellow duster.
Right tomorrow, up at 7am (earlier if kids get up earlier but I did deliberately let them stay up), shower & dressed (yes before midday on a weekend, shocking!), kids up, fed dressed etc. Dogs out. Set washing machine away, hang out before we go out. Make some sandwiches to take with us for lunch. Pack the car with some of the top prizes, print prize list and forms we need doing. Drive 18 miles to an outdoor race track, brrrrr, sell as many raffle tickets as possible. Drive another 20 miles to another race track, indoor but naff heating so brrrrr again, sell raffle tickets there. Leave DP at that track to get some forms filled in we need doing for the club and while he is there go to see my Nana as we'll be near her house, will take her presents over incase I don't get back through before she goes away. Drive the 40 miles or so back home, empty car (well I think DP can do that bit) make dinner, collapse in heap. I think that is all.One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Evening ladies and thanks for the thoughts. We had a nice time with friends. Living room did not take long to get straight and with the swish and swiping the downstairs loo is always fit for visitors.
Food was ok, everybody said it was great but you know what it is like if you cook it yourself. One couple are our closest friends who we see alot and another couple who we have known for a long time. Each have 3 kids like us of similar ages so we are all in the same boat. Feel a little cheerier but still like there is a black cloud looming.
Finally thought of a present for my sis to get DS3 which is a releif. Got DS2 present from Nan today so just 2 to go and some stocking bits.
OH is tidying the mess I have made in the kitchen so I will put WM on and off to bed. Both boys have footie matches tomorrow - it will be cold and then we plan to visit Santa in the afternoon. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning
Feel much better in myself today, my cold/flu thing seems to be easing up but littleys got it now lol, she slept in my bed last night cause she always wants her mam when she's not well, the big soft thing lol.
AnW ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) like pigpen says you've had a really tough week, best to get the straw thing over and done with. Your tree looks fab and your kids look so happy. x
((((((((Dusty)))))))) just cause I think you need one x
I must MUST do my kitchen today it's the pits, it looks like it's not been done for a week  also got the uniforms to dig out and wash today. I'm still resting and chilling though so that will be about it.

Embb - glad you're starting to feel better.
AnW - hugs to you
Nicki - love your tree. We do that with the children choosing a decoration every year. I always try and right the year on the decoration too.
Lil_me - hope you found the recipie.
Right, today i'm going to tidy the house and put some more decorations up and we're still decidedly unchristmassy. Think DS has a verucca...does anyone know what the current thinking for veruccas is xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Morning all
Two loads of washing out - it's very cold but dry and a little breeze. Yesterday I had to hang it up indoors when I got it in, but an hour later it was dry so it must have helped hanging it out. And it smelt lovely and fresh.
Everything prepped for roast dinner, oven on.
Best wishes to everyone who is feeling under the weather now - either emotionally or physically. It's a hard time of year. Although I find New Year worse, very depressing.0 -
oh yes polly.. the new year is SUCH an anticlimax.. and then you know you are right back at the beginning and have to do it all again!!!! AARRGGHH!!!!!!
Right.. I have worked who needs paying what and how much when hubby gets paid on the 28th.
I have 6 presents left to buy for the children and a few to chase.
I also need something for 1 sister, my stepdad and my sisters bf who is coming with her on Boxing Day. I also need 3 or 4 helium balloons which I intend attaching to my mothers christmas present from us all.. so I'll collect those on the 24th as well.. might need to book them first..
6 Items have been delegated to hubby to find.. I can't get them online so he can find them in a real live shop.
the bread dough is mixing in the BM for the childrens bread bombs for their packed lunches all week..
Shopping for christmas is arriving on Thursday
School parties on Wednesday (KS1) Thursday (nursery) and Friday (KS2)
Not to mention I have to spend every night this week wrapping frantically.. and the bikes.. hubby can fix one together each night (there are only 3 to do) and store them in the shed.. so they won't need doing on Christmas eve at 11pm.
ALL the presents are to be brought downstairs on the 23rd and stored in the middle room.. I'm moving the bunnies into the back room again for the duration so they don't get neglected.
I need the whole house tidying, then.. and only then.. is fat boy allowed to come!
Today.. we are tidying the front room.. the backroom and the kitchen.. then I'll put the ceiling trimmings up in the back room, shift the sofa into the middle room and bring the bunnies back in here.. I am putting up the big table for them to sit on as well I think.. then they'll be at eye level for the children..
I am forcing the children to do a spot of tidying upstairs as well.. and next weekend they are having a good and proper cleaning session in their rooms!

Back from football and oh so cold. OH doing kids lunch whilst I thaw out then we need to go and visit the fat guy - free at the garden centre but big queue. Hope to find a card for Mum there from me and the kids, still need another present for Mum, nan and sister from the kids.
Not planning on flying other than empty the grate which is full and putting it in the compost. 2nd wash done but nowhere to dry it.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Pigpen - quick question - do all your children live at home ? Hope you don't mind me asking.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Afternoon everyone.
Plodding on slowly as Charlie is a bit off it this weekend. He was quite sick last night at my mum and dads, and has done quite a few nasty nappies today. On the plus side, we woke him up at 8 when we woke up, so he let us both have a much needed lie in. And he has been asleep for the past two hours, so hopefully he is just sleeping himself better. Don't want him poorly for xmas. He has barely ate all weekend too, but is still drinking ok, so i am just offering him meals and letting him eat what he can.
We are finally looking a bit christmassy here. Inside and outside decorations are up, and the xmas tunes have been playing all day in a bid to make it more festive, and i am slightly more in the mood. Even more so come thursday when i walk out of work and it is all done for 2 weeks.
