Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

Hi Guys
Well there is good news and bad!
The good(ish) news is that we got a new train light but the bad news is one section is not working properly  the front bit won't work and we didn't realise until it was on the wall. So will have to ring Argos tomorrow and get them to bring a new one out, don't have time for a 20 mile round trip to replace plus the cost in extra fuel. Anyway here it is for now.

Did really well this week so as suggested (can't remember by who - Emmb?) I am planning to maintain.
School play tomorrow afternoon and will think of the rest of the list later or in the morning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Nephew and partner have come to stay whilst they settle into their jobs in London and find somewhere to live.
Daughter is also here, but is rather poorly, pneumonia! but is on the mend thank goodness.
I printed out the "to do" list and put it on the fridge.
As a result the kitchen was tidied and the floor cleaned. Brilliant..
I might not lose weight over the next few weeks... but I'm looking forward to their cooking on several evenings.
Does anyone else find that if they clear a "hot spot" that it gets filled within 10 minutes! and never by useful stuff, just some one else's treasures?0 -
I'm in.. but will be living in chaos until Wednesday at least. I am going to have to do most of this tonight.. before I go to pub at 10:30... Best makw a move.. I am still flea-combing girls.

 Happy birthday juliejim and LJD1:beer:
Where do you all find the birthday cake from??:bdaycake: Found it!!:o
I slept really badly last night, and wasn't at all sure that I was going to make the Christmas Party today - but struggled there and had a lovely time! So, no flying today, and you may remember that I gave DS1 and 2 and OH a list - so did they do it?? NO!! But they will be soon. (Is there a threatening smilie?)
I'm in for this week again, although as I'm supposed to be working Tuesday and Thursday, may have to do some creative day combining. I really want to finish my Christmas shopping this week - main present for DD, and also most of DS's - he hasn't felt up to doing a very long list, so haven't got very much. I also need to wrap up all the presents to be delivered to my sister, and then write the cards....
Michelle - don't waste energy feeling guilty. You are doing the very best you can, and that is more than enough believe me. At an NCT conference once, a speaker, a psychologist, was speaking on all sorts of issues with families, and ended her talk by showing us a carrier bag, and reading the warning about suffocation printed on it. She then turned it inside out, and on that surface she had written 'guilt' - and said very quietly, that guilt can suffocate families...All of us who were there, were really struck by that.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
We've just got back from Lapland UK. Had a fab time and the children loved it. Well worth it even though it took 8 hours to drive down yesterday due to bad traffic and weather. Thank goodness we went a day early and booked a travel lodge. So, signing in for the week, shattered, one year older and feeling very christmassy. Catch up tomorrow xxJanuary budget
