  • Hi everyone,

I'm in again too - didn't have such a good week last week, but still managed to keep things ticking over, which is SUCH an achievement!

Have a good week everyone. I think I'll start to try to do a daily update as I keep missing large chunks of the thread!!

Many thanks for all the hugs and thoughts, they are trying to be cheerful and christmassy(?) for my niece who being three is taking it all in her stride and is telling everyone that the baby wasn't well and is in heaven with granny!

Flying through my list today, I am going to leave the floor until after the dog has been walked tonight, but now away to check the WM TD etc.

    Back later

JJef - sorry about your news.

Lots done at the weekend despite a last minute visitor for Sunday lunch. Our visitor meant that DH genuinely didn't have a chance to dismantle the wardbrobe in the boys room. It came with the house - no one could get it out of the bedroom door, never mind down the stairs! Brown wood, far too big for the room. DH now away till Wednesday. Want it gone so I can shift some of the toys from the LR, and put the tree where it belongs.

I have just dismantled it (with 3yo making helpful suggestions) using one of those screwdriver thingies. Working out how to change the drill head to a flat thing and put it on reverse was beyond me :o - needed 4yo who can do these things in his sleep but he is at school. Went swimmingly - it splits into two halves! Doing great until it got stuck on the bend of the stairs. Dislodged it, and then it landed on my nose  . Will it ever stop bleeding? Have I broken my nose? Will the horrid child ever stop laughing at 'funny mummy'?

Has to stop, need to get the rest of the bloody thing out of the house, get all the dust out of the boys room, and get ds1 from school at 3pm.

I think I will leave the other three horrid wardrobes till I have more assistance.......

jjef.. it is amazing how well children deal with these things.. they are sometimes a bit freaky even.. they just don't understand do they really... thinking of everyone today. (((hugs)))

I've done my tesco order for Wednesday.. and I have DD2's remaining presents to sort out.. just waiting for the bits for the boys pc and they are sorted.. and my lush order.. I am REALLY impatient about that one.. can you tell?? erm.. I have an amazon order and a red house books order to arrive as well.. and 2 things from ebay.. and I think I might actually be sorted then.. kind of.. I think.. maybe....... ARGH!!!!!! I have NEVER been this far behind before.. next year I have a safe which is having at least £50 a month deposited so I can simply bank it and spend it come September!

    Lunch then.. what we having?

  • Not sure what I'll get sone today. I'm really tired after a busy weekend and being awake between 2 and 5.30 this morning so having a bit of a lazy day. House is a tip though after DD's birthday yesterday and washing and ironing piles are overflowing after being ignored all weekend.

jjef - really sorry to hear about your SIL> I've had two mc's - not pleasant, but nowhere near 20 weeks, can't imagine how horrible that must be.

pigpen - I'm surprised at you getting grief about DD still wearing nappies at night aged 7. My DD wore them up until early this year (she was 9 yesterday) and the HV and school nurse weren't too bothered. They said it's not a problem, until they're about 9. She suddenly stopped bedwetting aged 8 without any intervention and we've never looked back.

  • jjef - so sorry to hear of your news. It really hits home as my sister suffered a full term still birth in Feb and my niece (who was 2 1/2) kept saying to us all "are you sad because the baby died?" and then when my sis started to feel a bit less tearful she asked "does this mean that the baby can come home after all?" Whenever I hear of a miscarriage or still birth it brings it all back.

Not going to do an extra mission today with feeling so pants, plus I'm doing the detailed zone clean for the kitchen so it's mostly covered in that.
