Evening all
Well I finally made it back on here - tried to get on tuesday night and aol kept chucking me off. Havent caught up on the thread so hugs to all those who need them especially cha97michelle (I did catch that bit how dreadful)
Was doing well up to Tuesday and even managed to get some christmas cards written but had a 12 hour day Tues then work and out Wed night so Thursday was slightly hung over and spent most of the day slobbed out on sofa, today I've been to see my dear ol gran and then on to do some xmas shopping at the tesco extra at Bar Hill. Now all I have to do is explain to OH how I managed to spend nearly £300 in tekko :rotfl: . He has no idea what Christmas costs bless him.
This weekend I will - I REALLY WILL - write the rest of my cards, go to town to buy the special cards (so need to take out another mortgage) AND get the house clean. I WILL IREALLY REALLY WILL.
Do you think I can convince myself :eek:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
I so can't wait until tomorrow, when I cancel that last direct debit.
And I have also done...
dishes
cleaned over
cleaned work tops (they need bleached, but can wait)
watched eastenders with hubby.
Rubbish out
Now I have to wrap a present, mop the floor with vinegar mix to polish it up and clean sofa's. hmm.. think wrapping teh present is enough.
I also need to wash my hair, but the bath seal is still wet... May have to do it over teh sink.
night all!0 -
michelle - nightmare. hope things are ok between you and OH, you seem to be struggling a bit recently (i'll mind my own business if you'd rather - we're just all concerned about you!)
thanks for worrying rach. It's fine between us, bit manic as usual fitting everything in when we both work such stupidly long hours. DH is a star - equally cream crackered, and more than pulls his weight with things he can help with.
shame work gets in the way of real life isn't it.
Tia will have a glass of wine in your homour tomorrow night.
The 2 small ones i have had in the last 2 hours have effected me. Gosh i've become a cheap date. DH had 2 bottles of beer and he is wiped out on the sofa.
I've been online spending again. Wilkos order done for the nappies - doesn't matter to me where i get them from and they are cheap enough plus with the extra 10 off is brill. Thanks for sharing the code on quidco. I've also just ordered a magazine each for MIL, FIL and my aunty, and if boots would let me use the website, i would order the package with tickets for the chelsea flower show on there too. I am starting to feel nearly there.
Anyway, bedtime here if i can wake DH up. See you bright and early in the morning.

Evening everyone!
I had a lovely day today meeting my class and some of the other members of staff. I was made to feel really welcome, and also had the embarassment of being introduced to the whole school during assembly. I'm going in again on Tuesday too as a paid day, and I'm going to get my contract etc so I think I've made the right decision in accepting the job.
Michelle I hope you are ok - I can't believe how some children behave nowadays - we would never have dreamed of even speaking back to a teacher when I was at school, let alone threaten them with a weapon, and I'm only 24 now, so it's not as though it was that long ago that I'm talking about! If the headteacher does not expel the child, then I would talk to your union about it!
We also had the supply agency christmas do tonight, and I met some really nice people there, and I was quite sad that I'm leaving, but one of the couples there were Australian, and they are going back to Perth in the New Year too, and a lot of other supplies that I know are also leaving. I didn't get home until gone 10pm and we were originally only going to be there 4-5pm but we all talked for so long that it was 8pm by the time we noticed what the time was, so we decided to go for a meal at the pub next door.
I've also just opened pigpen's and julie's cards - thank you so much - I promise I will be writing all of my cards and sending them off tomorrow.
Anyway, I'm going to bed with a smile on my face, feeling thankful for everything I have, after some very thought-provoking discussions at dinner about children we've taught who are forced to grow up too soon etc, and about lil_me's poem which had me in tears too.
Night night all (morning Denise), and sweet dreams!

Hope you're feeling better today Michelle - that was an awful thing to happen and I always felt more vulnerable when I was pregnant!
Going to do my last bits of Christmas shopping this morning and then hopefully do some wrapping later.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning everyone
We are putting the Christmas tree up this weekend. Got swimming first for A, then collecting her star costume for tomorrow's nativity from my BIL and somewhere in between that lot they both need to vacate the lounge of toys so there is room for the tree!
Tried to put an order in with the book people but almost half the stuff I want is not in stockgoing to have to have a rethink.
Congrats on being debt free Tia

Morning
Congratulations Tia  :j :T
Michelle that's terrible, as if you haven't got enough to cope with you've got little toe-rags at school doing things like that. Hope something get's done about it (((((hugs)))))
SM that sounds like a lovely night you had.
I don't know what my postie's playing at but I reveived no post at all yesterday, I hope I get some today I'm expecting 3 Lovefilm DVD's but maybe that's wishful thinking afterall it's Christmas and Royal Mail just can't cope  lol
Gonna fill in a Right To Buy form online today, the quotation lasts for two years and I'm under no obligation to go ahead with it so may as well, I want to buy it cause then I can get a Home improvement loan and do stuff to it and it would also make me feel proud and give me something to work towards, but I need to get a job first lol. It takes the council about 3 months to sort it out so hopefully I'll have one by then.
Would love to be able to finish my Christmas shopping (I'm just in the mood) today but funds don't allow, I also owe DD1 a chunk so that's my fam allowance spoken for this month which in turn means my DD's aren't covered for the 1st - it's so much fun!I could borrow out of some savings littley has to cover everything and take the stress away, but I'm in two minds, I don't really want to tbh, even though it will be put back again, what do you guys think?
list for today:-
S&S kitchen
dry 3 loads washing
WM x 2
dry those ^^
do some wrapping
sweep through
make beds
empty hot water bottle (it was freezing last night)
attempt to dry rug that's still on the line.0 -
