NSD 2. I am evolving into a mole - I dig, I move soil (and a few edging stones today, playing with my lucky crowbar), I lie down, I fall asleep. It is looking better (could hardly look worse), I am getting there.  Weird communication day. Another phone call from the ex, mum was chattering away to him but then shouted for me (I should have gone to hide in the shed), He asked when I'd last been in contact with DS2 as DS2 has covid again. DS2 phoned him part way through our call so he broke off. Then DS2 phoned me. He sounds ill but was better than he has been the past few days. Test was only confirmed today. DS2 had been pulling all nighters for some assignment deadlines, then logging on for work, so wasn't surprised he was tired. His symptoms were also in line with a new suspected rare genetic condition he's being investigated for so they were doing the test just to rule it out. So now need to do some research to investigate possible sources.

Then had a message from DS3 - the drain backed up again so another visit from the big sucky truck. They showed him the camera footage this time but no obvious reason why it's happening. I've given him a rent credit as my contribution towards the cost (they paid the camera cost last time which was over £300). Back outside to do another couple of buckets, did six. If I can't get to town tomorrow (the thought of Saturday crowds doesn't thrill me) I will need to order some things on line - I can't put up shelf brackets or finish off the raised beds without replacement screwdrivers (was using 4/ 5 in turn for raised beds part one and only two were any use at all - think I've now exhausted their usefulness).

Heavy wool quilt has been out on the line to air.

Grateful for easy food/ use ups, books (new to me authors and old friends), finding a spot to tackle the edging from as the end part refused to budge.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Today I am grateful for getting to visit mum, for being allowed to get on an earlier train home, for dh picking us up, for banana bread/cake, for the tennis.

    Evening turtles 🐢

Busy day today, got called in to work, I stop getting paid at midday but was there until 2.30, will have to claim the time back somewhere. Bit of a rubbish day but all done now.

Came home and started stripping the paint on the living room radiator as it's peeling everywhere. Only got about halfway through and it will need a second go. But there's no rush!

Spends today on train fare, filling the car up this evening as that needed doing as well, a car wash (did hope to do it myself but work got in the way), and some stuff for the rabbits. Oh and a bottle of beer, because it's Saturday and I spent most of the day in a dingy basement office while the sun was shining outside!

Sending good thoughts & sunshine for those who are under the weather or having a tricky time.
Still on 0 nsd. The amounts haven't been much, but still count! Stayed the night at mum"s, we had oven chips & fish, etc, so cheaper than a takeaway. Watched a film, did some pampering, a bit of craft work & lots of laughs. Best night we've both had in ages!
Today I did the big shop, once it was all put away, I cleared two patches of ground & sowed some wildflower seeds.
Grateful for seeing the enjoyment on Mum's face after having her finger nails painted for the first time in 20+ years, a sunny day to take photos of the bears I'd made having a 'picnic' in the garden, the anticipation of the wildflowers to come, our wedding anniversary tomorrow 😃
Use it up, wear it out
    Make do or do without!

If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
