Sorry if this has been covered already.
At the moment we both have a share of the freehold (or, in other words, flat 1 and flat 2 own the freehold jointly).0 -
Have you posted the layout from the deeds on one of these threads?
It seems like the mistake was by whoever did the conversion because it would make sense for the ground floor flat to have the section of garden by their house, and the first floor flat to have the rear section. Or would that never have been possible?

We've got separate entrances, ground floor is at the front, first floor is at the side of the house, where the garden is.
It's an L-shaped garden that covers the side and the back of the house (end of terrace). We basically have the long edge of the L.0 -
So the idea of having some plants in front of their window (of any kind) didn't go well with the neighbour to put it lightly (this includes a couple of threats and 2-3 insults), because they want to have a 'clear view' (which, by the way, would be a clear view of my garden and the wall/fence opposite their window, nothing more).
Without continuing on this topic for longer than necessary, do they have the right to have nothing at all in front of their window?0 -

This is one of many reasons why the setup where their window looks into your garden is a daft one.5 -

By the way, the only reason why I mentioned it (I didn't ask, I just wanted them to know) is because I didn't want to spend money on something that she could ruin in 5 minutes. She basically said that she would come and remove anything we will put in front of their window (plus throw a few eggs to our windows, as a bonus).
We are doing some works (replacing a shed) and at the moment there is no door/gate from pathway to garden.
EDIT: I do realise how childish and stupid this whole thing sounds (and probably is), but it is really stressful.1 -
Do you have any shameless, "chubby" friends that you can invite over? Nude-sunbathing is the in thing I hear...I'm available if you're nearby, I'm sure after a few glances they will be desperate to cover the windows!4

Why on earth did you ask them? They have no say as to what you do in your garden.1

Politely inform her that if she damages any of the things in your garden you will call the police. Set up a camera in your garden. Stop enabling the behaviour by pu$$y footing around them and stand up for yourself!2
