Frosted film on neighbour's window

Fair enough. The window is basically inside our garden, but as long as they can't object, I would be more than happy to consider plants (I love bamboo) rather than a plastic film.ic said:There was a similar thread like this recently where a neighbours extension window overlooked a garden from a boundary wall. As the OP was unable to get them to agree to install frosting on the window, the OP had a fence panel installed in their garden blocking the window - they posted a photo, but I can't find it (so many threads with "fence", "neighbour" and "window" in them! An alternative would be to grow something in front of the window - bamboo would grow fast, and nice and high. I doubt you can touch the window itself.1 -
Nice high fence panels at a reasonable distance from the windows and then bamboo on YOUR side of that. (Don't want them throwing weed killer on the plants, do we?)3

Your garden is outside their window? That sounds like a nightmare for them 🥴🥴1

Yeah, except that we are the ones being spied on and we are the ones trying to give each other privacy. So far they've objected to everything.lookstraightahead said:Your garden is outside their window? That sounds like a nightmare for them 🥴🥴0 -
Can't believe this is a genuine question. How can you make an adjustment to someone else's property w/o their permission??!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
Apologies, didn't know that asking a question was a crime.Rosa_Damascena said:Can't believe this is a genuine question. How can you make an adjustment to someone else's property w/o their permission??!1 -
Had another search, here's that other thread and the resultant fence: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/77652978/#Comment_776529781

I had to read this a couple of times to understand that the dispute is with the next door neighbours, it's not with the people in the ground floor/garden flat of your building?0

Basically it's a converted house. We are on the first floor, with half the garden (a bit more than half). The ground floor flat has got the rest of the garden. One of their windows is inside our section of the garden.Poster_586329 said:I had to read this a couple of times to understand that the dispute is with the next door neighbours, it's not with the people in the ground floor/garden flat of your building?0 -
So you are both leaseholders of the same converted house and there's a freeholder who did the conversion / or you both own a share the freehold?
Sorry if this has been covered already.1
