A heads-up - presumably the parking event was after January 2020 so the BPA CoP V8 should be referenced.Make sure that the para numbers and/or wording is as stated in that version - (I believe you are quoting V7)4

ParkingMad said:This shows the size of the text on OPS' signs compared to the ParkingEye sign in the Beavis case:
The comparative OPS one you've pasted here is the English only one (perhaps from another site or older). The one in my post above is the bilingual one and I suspect the font size is the same and my guess is the size has merely been doubled to tick BPA's guidance for T&Cs to be minimum of 45x45cm.
I've argued in my appeal that in the bilingual sign, the language sections are constantly alternating, not like first all in English and then All in Welsh or vice-versa making it pretty hard to follow.1 -
The point about Beavis is that it was agreed that the PE sign was clear and unequivocal, and complied with Lord Denning's "red hand" rule. The OPS sign is anything but clear ... and that's the point of making the cross-reference to Beavis.Jenni x5

One of the reasons Beavis lost because the signs were clear and unambiguous, the exact opposite of the dual language signs at this site.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks5

A simple question to ask and one I use in POPLA appeals is: compared to the "Beavis sign", where on the operator's sign does it state the amount of the parking charge for failure to comply with their rules and how large a font was used?
On this sign it's a bit like "where's Wally?"Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'5 -
The number of words on that sign is ridiculous. I am sure that every judge in the land would agree that itt amoounts to unfair terms in consumer contract, read this

I am not sure every Judge in the land would...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Going against the advice here but I paid up twice and then sued successfully for my money back. When I see real victims with 22 pages on this forum I wish more would spend £25 (I think just increased) taking a punt. As long as you show a reasonable cause in bringing the claim, the court will not award costs to the other side - and boy have I been threatened by Gladstones and the scummy like with costs.
