@MissRikkiC definitely worth a look! That's where I buy all my running leggings, I don't feel like spending £20+ on new a pair, I got a nice selection of branded ones for that money.
I managed to do everything on my list, I can't believe it! Work's been quiet, that's why, I traced the patterns in the morning and then cut a top and 3 bottoms during lunch. I did two loads of washing, it's nice and sunny and a bit windy, so the second one is almost dry. The smart meter was showing 0 usage when the washing was being done, not sure if it was sunny enough to use all solar power or the meter is faulty! 😆 While I was there I also checked how much boiling the kettle is - I filled it up to the 500ml mark to make a miso soup and the cost on the meter went up 1p. Tomorrow I'll check how much it is to make a coffee, I already had my third by the time I thought of this entertaining activity. 🤣
I spent money today but it won't count against my NSD as it was kind of planned and from a pot, not my weekly budget. I was thinking of making crochet soap savers and face scrubbies to sell on the local FB groups. I put the money for yarn in a pot waiting for a sale and today I got a newsletter announcing 30% discount on the yarn I wanted. No idea if it's going to work - me selling anything I mean - worst case I will have lots of colourful cotton yarn to stash next to my non-cotton yarn 😬
Day's been busy enough to keep me away from food, it was easy to fast, haven't had a proper fasting day in a long time. Work is almost over and I'll start making dinner soon. We have salmon left from a large pack I bought last week and needs using so we'll have that with rice and veg and orange sponge for pudding if anyone wants any.
The list really worked, I don't think I would've been so efficient without it. I'm starting a new one for tomorrow:
- deposit cat tower money
- return/collect books from library
- community larder
- make dinner using things from that larder that need using - I love the weekly surprise
- sew pjs
- trace shorts pattern for Boy1
Might be a bit too ambitious but that's what I thought about today's list and it's all been checked. 🤞

Good morning! A grey and wet day, I took the dog for a run and my joints are not very pleased. He didn't seem to enjoy it very much either, he ran around the house trying to dry himself, just settled down now after half an hour.
Day 2/4 NSD today. I keep thinking I cheated yesterday with the yarn buy, even though it's my rules! I made the rules - no spending out of weekly budget, so why can't I chill??!! 🥴
List for today, it's unlikely I'll do all of it as work will be busy and I also have to go into town for library, bank and larder. But having the list keep me focused.

It's never occurred to me to look for running kit on Vinted. No point me trying to sell anything on there - my clothes generally get worn until they're fit for nothing, and usually aren't anything other than very cheap brands in the first place either! That's a good tip though - thank you!

I wasn't so efficient today, I had more work than yesterday so all I did was go to the bank/ library/ larder and a load of laundry. I couldn't be bothered sewing after work and dinner, I went out for a walk with the boys and dog.
The larder was good, I got mushrooms, onions, spinach (I'll fry them together for dinner tomorrow and have them with polenta), carrots, peppers, a cucumber, chocolate porridge, some overnight breakfast mix, vegan garlic mayo, sprouted baby potatoes and a tub of can't believe it's not butter.
The boys had omelette with raw veg for dinner. I craved hummus all day after finding some old but still ok wraps in the bread drawer AND seeing my sister having some on our call this morning. I had £2 left in the budget but I was so committed to this NSD I decided to make my own hummus. I had everything I needed to make it, I like to think of myself as the kind of person who makes their own hummus. 🤣 I'm not really, it takes so long and it's messy but it does taste amazing. I found some old tins of chickpeas and an old, almost empty jar of tahini (there's a theme going on, maybe I should join an 'empty your cupboards' challenge), garlic, lemon and cumin, and half an hour later I had a big pot of hummus and a lot of dishes in the sink. I sliced and fried the aubergine I got in the L!dl box last week, chopped a brine gherkin and had a super tasty grilled wrap. I have enough left over for two lunches. Not sure when I'll make hummus again but I need to use the other chickpea tins soon, they're well past the BB date. 😬

I looooove hummus and recently picked up a YS sabra pot…. Holy cow 😍 I literally devoured it. It’s SO expensive otherwise but I have bought it full price just the once since. I implore you… do not seek this stuff out 🤪Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Good morning!🌞
I left the curtains open the last couple of nights to see if I can wake up before the alarm. I've been up since 5.15, I reckon I will be knackered by the time I finish work today.
@MissRikkiC Sabra is the best but, like you, I rarely buy it. 💲💲💲
Wasn't planning a run this morning but I have some olio stuff to collect after the school run and it's not far away enough to justify a car trip, but too far to get back in time for work if walking. I might be a bit late even with running but whatevs.
I have a tip trip booked at lunch, mainly for garden waste, I need to find some time to trim a holly before that. Work will be busy again so not much else on the list, definitely no sewing but maybe list some stuff on v!nted. And of course, the most important thing today - no spending!

Got back in time for work but not showered yet, so I opened a window and I'm trying not to get my nose facing my armpits 😆
I think I'll wait until after the trip to the tip (🙃) and shower then.
My dinner plans have changed, I now have oyster mushrooms that need cooking, have to look up a recipe. I also got some blueberries, more satsumas, cheese and red onion focaccias and a brown sour dough I'll use for croutons. I have some apples that are starting to go bad, I think I'll use the oven tonight for the croutons, an apple pie and roasted cauli.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I have a handful of those mushrooms left too! I suggest risotto! But I’d eat that until it came out of my ears so …..
I laughed at the lack of showering! Think of all the things you need to do that make you sweaty and do those first. Bleurgh to the tip run. I also need to do one for a (now very soggy) mattress and a few bags of top soil but they’re all too heavy to lift so need to get hub on the job!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay
