Our council took the rebate off the overall total. It went up, so is saving us about a fiver a month 🫤🙄Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@WinterWarrior ouch! I think it would've been a similar saving for us if they did the same.
The rebate was paid this morning!!!🥳
I sent it to the spare sant and er account where I'm stashing extra cash for our now unlikely holiday. Still no passport new 😒01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I got my P60, I think I'm due almost £1k refund but I've been wrong before. We'll see in June/July.
Just had an initial interview for a new job. I'm trying not to get too excited yet but honestly I can't help it! 🤯🤯 It's a contractor position working for a US company, I need to look into self employed taxes, I've always been an employee so I'm completely clueless.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

It's been a lovely weekend so far. I did a 10k run on Saturday which was paid for a couple weeks back. I can of course run for free but I enjoy doing it as part of an event together with other runners. We had a pub lunch after and the weather was amazing, good we didn't wait for Sunday when it rained most of the day. The sun might come out later today and I'd like to go out for a long walk.
I realised these last few days I refrained myself from buying a new running watch, new running shoes, sewing patterns in the 50% off Vogue sale, fat quarters for a baby quilt, wadding for the same quilt and a big ruler for general quilting, more soap and shampoo bars. A few years back I would've bought all of them the second I thought I needed them. Thus the £20k debt 🤦♀️
My gorilla glued fitbit still works, I have two pairs of running shoes, a lot of unused sewing patterns, enough cotton scraps to make a baby quilt, a smaller ruler that will do just fine, plenty of soap and a couple of partially used shampoo bars. I'm only missing the wadding, I can buy it once I start working on the quilt top.
I do need a haircut though and I normally walk in the local cutting bar and use money out of my weekly budget. This week's budget would cover it but wouldn't leave me with much until Friday so I'll wait and see where I am on Wed/Thu.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Oh you should be so proud of the not spending and the running. I only run if something is chasing me…and even then I might just die after 2 minutes.Batting is so expensive in any quantity so I try to hold out and order when I know how much I’ll need.
have a great day.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
