Me too! I’m a big fan of bamboo. It doesn’t pull apart when you are in the sandwiching phase either, so it’s much better. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Husband cleaned downstairs while I had a lie in this morning. He got a bit overwhelmed when he got to the hallway, so many shoes, so many coats. Weather was bad so instead of a walk we went to ikea to see if we can find something to help us organise that space. What we liked was out of stock or too big or not the right colour. We spent almost £25 on a few small bits, lunch for the boys and a pack of oat biscuits.
I just got a notification on FB from one of the school parents groups and after reading that I was shown an ad for a free 3 piece face, body and haircare set from gruum, £3.95 postage. I fell for it.
Just as I was boasting about my thoughtful no buys 😅
No haircut for me this week then!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

We went back to ikea yesterday lunchtime and got the stacked havsta cabinets to store our shoes. There's 4 of us and lots of shoes. The coats are still a mess, not sure what we're going to do about that. I'd love to have them on hangers instead of pegs, we're still looking for ideas. While we were there I also got a baggebo shelving unit for my sewing area, at £19 it was a shame not to.
I booked a waste slot for today's lunchtime to take all the boxes and the broken shoe cabinet we replaced.
I have £6 left in my weekly budget so no haircut until Friday, I can't wait, my hair is much longer than I'm used to having it.
Got a tray of mushrooms from Olio, I'll fry them with onions and make some polenta for dinner. Yum!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Lovely IKEA bargains 😁. I would love a house with its own coat storage built in, or room for a fabulous solid wood antique wardrobe for coats in the hall. Sadly we have a coat rack and probably antique coats under the coats we normally grab.

About two years ago I went for a very short pixie-ish cut and I've been growing it out myself, chopping at it every moth or so to make it look decent. Now I got back to my usual bob and I don't trust myself to do the back right. If only my arms were longer...01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

A coat cupboard is one thing we DO have - I'd love to say that as a result we never hang coats on doorknobs etc, but sadly I'd be lying! No shoes in the hallway though as there's just not space - it's literally a long thin corridor!

That's true, the things I wanted to buy like the watch and shoes were very expensive.
But fear not, I have spent some more today! 😆 Not that much though!
I washed my hair this morning and decided since it was squeaky clean I'd reset my budget a day early and go for a haircut - I don't like other people washing my hair. Then popped into the local department store to see if I can get cotton yarn for more soap savers in other colours than the 2 I have. They had something but was too expensive so didn't buy, will wait for a sale on wool warehouse and get a lot more for that money. I did however bought 10 spools of gutermann thread, they had a big box with £1 spools, apparently they're colours they don't normally stock. The regular ones are £2.30 a piece so it's a good deal. I might go back next week see if they have any left.
Then popped into Sainsbobs for bombay mix (I was parked there for free so might as well) and then L!dl for fruit, fresh fish for dinner and a few veg to go with it. They had quite a few £1.50 boxes, usually there's none or a sad looking one. I picked up one with potatoes, onions, a broccoli (I put back the one I had in my basket), a grapefruit, 2 bananas, 2 tomatoes, 2 cartos, a kiwi and a nectarine - I think that's it but quite a lot for £1.50. Need to check how much is left for next week 😱 but first school run 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Oh, and while sorting out the shoes to go in the new cabinet I found an amazing pair of trainers I forgot about 😬 and then listed some other 4 pairs on V!inted. I have a lot of shoes but I always wear the same ones, I need to list more. Fingers crossed they go soon!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
