Haven't spent anything since Friday, only postage for the bay/v!inted sales, but that doesn't count.

Hubs brought lots of treats "for the children", I have enjoyed quite a bit of them over the weekend. Had a race on Saturday and have a couple more planned over the next 4-6 weeks, I'd also like to run a half marathon as some point this summer.

I made some more hummus, I might be a convert and never buy it again. I have some leftover passata I need to use (we had flatbread pizzas this weekend) so I might pop into a shop and get an aubergine and creme fraiche to make veggie lasagne.

Loan is going down slowly but I doubt I'll get it under 11k this month, I'm almost £300 off, it's unlikely to make that much extra money in the next couple of weeks.

I'm going to post some sales now, that will get me £10 closer to that unrealistic target.

Popped into Ald! while waiting for Boy2 to finish his club - making use of their free parking as well 😁 - and got the aubergine, creme fraiche plus some berries, smoked paprika for my next hummus and... 2 packs of fat quarters. 🙈 There were 6 in a pack for 3.99, can't find them cheaper than that.
I also had to buy bits of uniform for this club, so another £15 gone, £33 left until Friday.

When I was leaving Ald! last night I noticed they had a 1.5h max stay, I might have been slightly more than that.  😬

Went to food group, got some spinach and pine nut bites - falafel-ish, they'll be great with my hummus wraps. While I was in town I went into boots and got flossers on points and then sainsbobs to get a free pack of dog dental sticks and £1 block of cheddar thanks to shopmium. No other opportunities for spending today, £32 left until Friday.

The food all sounds good. I doubt they police the car park 😁

@WinterWarrior I was worried they might have cameras but just had a look on gogol maps and thinking of the way the car park is set up I don't think they do! 🤞

Been for a run this morning, was not in the mood at all but that's exactly why I forced myself to go. The boys manage to do my head in most mornings, I don't like being a shouty parent but I feel like I'm not going anywhere without shouting. brush your teeth! wash your face! get dressed! It's not very efficient and not good for me, I need to think of another strategy 🥴

No expected spending today, I'm going back to ikea during lunch to return one item and replace a broken lazy susan that we used exactly once! It's a 50 mile trip but worth it for the £30 I plan on getting back. I will go straight to customer service and back out, not going in, unless I have to pick up Susan myself.

I need to pay for a school trip for Boy2 but that can come out of the Boys pot.

Oh, I finally made the lasagne last night. It was late and I was feeling lazy but didn't want the passata to get mouldy, plus I already bought the aubergine. Had only a little taste before bed and it was delicious, can't wait to have it for lunch. I need to plan a meal around a red cabbage, found a red cabbage and cauli dhal on bbc good food, never thought of cabbage in a dhal, I might try it but need a cauliflower. I think I'm going to liddell tomorrow, maybe I'll find a £1.50 box with a cauli in.

Just dropped my empty coffee cup from a considerable height and it's still in one piece. I'll take that as a good sign. Not sure of what but a good one anyway 😃

They’re the best kind of runs, that you really don’t feel like doing. I often get the same and call it ‘auto piloting’ my way out of the door. I’d be literally pulling on my shorts and tying my laces saying I cannot be arsed but still doing it anyway!

Your cup not breaking has to be a good sign! I broke a really lovely sunshine yellow loveramics flat white cup at the weekend and at approx £16 to replace I think I’ll use glue!

@MissRikkiC haha I do that as well! Even today I dropped the boys at school in my kit and I was thinking maybe I should better go back home 😂

Ouch! £16, I just googled them, not sure if they're the same but they were just over £9? Mine is a £2 one from wilko 😅

I bought a big river @lexa to stop the morning shouting. Set an alarm for 5 minutes (teeth brushing) 15 minutes (face washing 10 minutes later) and 25 minutes (getting dressed 10 minutes after face washing). When that gets boring start thinking of some random (and free) prizes for first one to complete all three things. Just an idea.....

Hmm.. we normally do them in a row, maybe adding breaks in between would work better. I think I'll sit down with them tonight and try to get their thoughts, they might be more committed if they are involved in the decision making.

    Good morning!
Not so good here actually, work is super busy which is stressing me out and making me feel very low, it's just so tedious. I'm trying to shift my perspective, it's bringing decent money in for bills and debt and little pleasures. My mum worked in a factory and sometimes had a second job cleaning just to keep afloat but the truth is she was still mostly sinking throughout my childhood/teens. So yeah, chin up Jokono!

I spent zero money in ikea yesterday even though I had to go in and get Susan myself, I'm feeling very good about that. I did stop to look at the glass containers for storing batch meals but I managed to move away from them. I have plenty.

Went for another run this morning to collect bits from olio, it was along a busy road at peak hours so not the most pleasant run.

I found an app that gives rewards for steps, it looks like it will be a long time until I can redeem a £10 voucher but it's free money, I'll have to remember to take the phone with me when I run. I installed a few other odd job apps I found through the MSE newsletter the other day.

Plans for today - plod through huge amount of monotonous work, post ebay stuff, make soup and croutons.
