What is it with Lidl selling green bananas that never ripen?
The one I was in all the bananas were just this side of black.  I might have bought some if I was making banana muffins but knew I wouldn't have the time.  Instead I got a carton of their custard as I have some rhubarb in the freezer and may, in the goodness of time, make a rhubarb and custard cake.

I’ve always found their complaint handling to be adequate at best, and really just going through the motions. There’s rarely anything to complain about, but customer service is one of the things that’s minimised as part of the low cost model. The big boys are far better at it, but it comes at a premium of around 25% on everything you buy.

The last load we've had have stayed green on the outside but have been ok on the inside. I don't know what witchcraft this is but I'm not going to question how it works :D

Two items I've not seen in my local Lidl for at least a month now:

    Sardines in tomato sauce
    Chocolate Oaties

They are in my local, 2 boxes.... I know as I bought 5...
Can't comment on the oaties as I do t know what they are.... My store never has and pink or chocolate ring donuts last 2-3 months and pretzel's are a hit and miss, much to my daughter's dismay.

Chocolate oaties are their version of chocolate hobnobs. As an alternative I've been buying their dark chocolate digestives, which as someone else mentioned further up the thread are also good.

Has anyone been using the 30% off bakery items after 7pm app voucher? Is there much left in the bakery section at that time?
