I popped into a local Sainsburys yesterday for some single cream - an astonishing £1.50 for a 300ml pot! A five minute walk down the road secured me the equivalent product from Aldi for £1.10. Shameful 😠

No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I find the same thing at my local Taxco. But it saves me a walk as they have their own brand for £1.50 and a cheap brand for about 25% less - no surprise which one I pick. Same for cheese and a number of other products.

@Rosa_Damascena I bought a jar this morning @ Greyhound retail park - they had lots.

Maldon is my local store and I have never managed to buy any from there despite there always being a space for them.

  • I think that's the only annoying thing about Lidl special weeks; that products vary from store to store. I wanted some soft Amaretti biscuits, but they didn't have any this time.

Oh!! Guanciale!! I'll have to go and have a look.

I was in there today and found some Italian wine on one of the middle aisles. Zibibbo - light crispy dry. Supposed to be £8.49 (I think) but reduced by £4 so dirt cheap. I bought 2 bottles but I'll see if they've got more of that as well. 12% alcohol so not a thin Italian!! (so many cheap whites are much too thin)

Annoyed that none of the local shops got the robot vacuums. I would have liked to try one of those.
