Good and Bad Buys at Lidl and Aldi stores (***Please don't expire***)

Two "Cheatin' Cleanin'" products from Lidl that I've found to be very effective...
- "Daily Shower" - a spray for glass shower screens that you use daily to keep the screen clean and free from limescale marks. Takes a couple of seconds to spray on and doesn't require rinsing or wiping.
- "All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach" - a general purpose cleaning spray. When used on tiles, sinks and baths it can clean without wiping.
Both are in the general group of Lidl/W5 cleaning products priced 75p-85p depending on offers.6 -
Re glass shower door cleaning - I used to use spray but others often forgot. Much better I find, cheaper and cleaner for the environment is a simple squeegee, bought mine from Dunelm for 80p.5

Hi, I usually stock up on 250gr cocoa at Aldi, but am wondering how the Lidl cocoa 250gr compares in price/quality? Anybody purchase these?
Thanks.1 -

Recently spotted the wine prices in Aldi, and some deals are very good. Just picked up a (hopefully drinkable) Chilean Merlot (2023) for £3.99. For those with more refined tastes, they have a 2015 Bordeaux (Chateau Pomone) for £9.99, reduced from £19.99. I might get a couple, as I love a decent Bordeaux.
Also: the "saver" pork belly slices are decent. A little on the fatty side, though for pork belly, that's no bad thing.2 -

I'd be rushing out to get either of your finds if I still drank reds. But will go and have a look just in case they have any whites - again Chilean or Argentina whites are good. Or if you're really lucky Aldi will have some Canadians in - the Niagara area has some of the best German style whites including best in the world icewines.
p.s. for those of you who don't know or drink red wines but feel you have to buy some for Christmas or whenever... here's my trick. Decide your maximum price be it £5 or £25. Then look at the alcohol content. A decent red wine in general will have a higher alcohol content as it will taste more robust. This is more obvious in the cheaper ones. But if you see a red that is 11% I'd say avoid at all costs. If it's 13%+ it's worth a try as it's bound to be a good meaty flavour. Just be sure that you're not actually buying a sweet red which is more likely to be much higher maybe 17%.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards.
