Don't you get bored? I can understand 80% core allows you to plan but a bit of leeway could bring some pleasant surprises. That is what the YS aisle is for, which is actually far better at the big supermarkets than Aldi and Lidl.
    What is YS?
Yellow Sticker (Although I believe in LIDL they are orange or green) - i.e.e the short dated and therfore reduced items.

I think all my meat and fish purchases are orange sticker these days - or from the freezer section. The Lidl free range whole chicken were £4.69 a kilo on the last shop.

Have Lidl discontinued their Bellarom ground espresso coffee? 250g in a dark brown packet. All I can find is the “gold” one which seems to get bad reviews and is 500g.

The beans were very intermittent then came back in different packaging and different weight.

I was just going to make the point that I don't think you ever get coupons off at Aldi- well, I have never had any!

Even if you have the down graded app I assume you get a 'little something' off at Lidl.

I also find TGTG bags from supermarkets tend to be pretty good value. For £3 r so it's worth a punt, anything I don't want goes straight on Olio.

I think they both have had coupons in papers from time to time.  Maybe Lidl less often now due to their app?
