I also like the 4x Wholemeal Baps from Aldi - 69p
Apparently, there is a white variety - anyone tried those?0 -
Don't buy Lidl's saxon baked spuds, didgusting0

The white baps are fine @Cornucopia. I eat whole meal generally, but baps have to be white cos I use them for burgers."One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. I suspect if something is on the verge of being thrown away they would prefer to make sure it was sold instead. Not like as if there's been a rush to buy an item if they end up reducing it. No other customer could complain if there was also lots of the same product available at full price.wild666 said:Aldi used to have signs up around their stores saying maximum purchase of an item was six, never saw any signs in Lidl as a month or so ago I got 13 packets of 12 chipolata's reduced by 30% and they didn't question me on them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Cornucopia said:The Lidl 6 items rule was originally for their weekend half-price offers. I'm not sure it applies/ever applied more generally than that.
Aldi are presently saying: maximum of 3 packs of Eggs per customer.
I think everyone is doing the eggs thing as there is a shortage.

There was a note up in my local Lidl that only 2 boxes of - I assume - the largest egg boxes (15) were permitted.
I have moaned about the rises in Lidl prices but on a visit to Sainsbury, to track down loose leaf tea, I was taken aback to see an Organic whole chicken priced at £23.42.Fashion on the Ration 2025 46/661 -
Chickens are much scarcer because of the culling due to avian flu. Turkey prices are much higher than normal too.... glad I'm vegetarian!alicef said:There was a note up in my local Lidl that only 2 boxes of - I assume - the largest egg boxes (15) were permitted.

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

But even the non-vegetarians amongst us are compelled to buy meat.Chrystal said:

I buy it because I choose to, because I like the taste of beef, pork, lamb, chicken (not so keen on turkey).1 -
My local Lidl have a range of veg. at 19p.
Whole swede; 1.5kg bag of red or white potatoes; brussels sprouts; 1kg bags carrots; parsnips; broccoli/cauliflower floret mix bag; 300g bag Eschalion shallots - that's all I can remember.Fashion on the Ration 2025 46/665
