Hello as per the title I have received a parking notice from PPS. £60 if I pay within 14 days and this goes up to £100 after. They have photos of my car entering and leaving the car park.
I just wanted to know what I should do about this now. Thanks in advance.

Chances are it was a near miss as you say
Download and read the relevant CoP that applies to PPS , especially noting what it says about incorrect VRM registration
Check your paid for ticket too , because that is your receipt and contract to park. , If it failed to forgive you a receipt then it's a machine failure , no proof of payment , unlike Argos or Tesco which do issue them
Then read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum
Have you appealed yet ? Yes or no
Which PPS ?? There are a few with those initials1 -
What is the full name of the parking company?
You need to appeal using the blue text template appeal easily found in the first post of the NEWBIES thread.
Send it unchanged - no additions or alterations needed.
Send it as the keeper.2 -
Thank you for the advice. I have not done a thing yet as it only arrived today. The parking firm is Premier Parking Solutions.
The parking machine accepted my money, asked for my Reg and gave me the time that I had to leave the car park. No receipt was provided.1 -
@flopstocks, it really would be a good idea for you to edit your opening post to remove any clues as to who may have been driving the vehicle on that day.3

Download the IPC CoP and read what it says about close matches for VRM errors , plus these machines go faulty all the time , it should have provided a receipt , it failed0 -
Send an appeal that says £x.xx was paid in cash and if they are alleging a major or minor keying error you want to see the evidence of that accusation. Put the appeal in online as registered keeper and don't add words that say who was driving, so not ''I did this''.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Post edited, sorry I have two responses about what I should do now. Pasting in the Blue text from Newbee thread, or saying about the possible keying error. Just wondering which I should go with0

The latter , because coupon mad said so , but no inferring who was driving , it is the keeper querying the ntk by stating the facts she quoted , adding in the correct total in pounds
No blabbing about who was driving2 -
OK today my partner received the email with the usual. Appeal has been rejected - asking to pay £60 by 08/06/2021 or £100 by 22/06/2021. Apparently they have fully searched their system and unable to find a payment for the Reg or anything similar.
Total scum bags their machine definitely said valid for the time I was there and I have no ticket to prove I paid.
Any advice on what I do next?0 -
Have they offered a further appeal to the IAS?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
