I am glad you joined. I am not too far from Charleston. Tickets are £26 but joining plus taking a friend is £61? £63? A friend can be taken too, so I've made the same decision as it will be a nice treat for visiting guests and for me too
I love the V&A

Thanks @milann! There is a forthcoming Marie Antionette exhibition there coming up in the autumn which covers her influence on fashion in design, film, art etc. There are a couple of special free Members preview days beforehand but DD is on holiday then so I will have to find a friend to go with and revisit with DD further along the line!😂
Hi @doingitanyway! Charleston Farmhouse looks gorgeous - it's on my bucket list to visit! I love that whole 'Bloomsbury Group' vibe!
Yesterday was a slow day. DD WFH here and went home late afternoon. I didn't do much - washing, changed the bedclothes, did my usual daily light housework and read.Today I had Pilates and gym. Stopped for my usual post-gym coffee and bought some smoked almonds (which I absolutely love) from the health food shop, batteries for scales from pound shop and some Wonderweb tape from the fabric shop as the hem on a pair of trousers has come down. This afternoon I'm going to sort out my pop sock drawer which needs pruning!
Tomorrow I'm out with DSis for a spa day as it's my birthday present to her and a meal afterwards.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
It was a NSD day yesterday but today was spends as above. One thing I noticed on my Amex card statement was cashback of £9 from my recent purchase of the Adidas sneakers. I get cashback anyway on purchases from this card but they always have special offers on extra cashback from different retailers. I don't always remember to look at the list and opt in as the offers tend to be for things like higher end hotels etc but this time I remembered so I'll keep on checking in future.WEIGHT
I gained 0.8lb this morning on weekly weigh in. I'm not too bothered as I had a largish meal out on Saturday and I tend to eat more when DD stays! I'm back on the wagon this week apart from tomorrow when I'm out with DSis, but the restaurant we're going to has some good choices. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank you much everyone! Wow! I can't believe my last posting was back in June and I was about to go on the spa day! It seems eons away now!
Quick rundown on things since then - a great week in Devon with one of my besties - the weather was glorious and it made one remember how great U.K. summer holidays can be if the weather is good! A couple theatre trips - Stereophonic, which was an excellent play based loosely on Fleetwood Mac when they made their Rumours album back in the 70s. Also Evita which is on a limited run in the West End. I thought Rachel Zegler was the best Evita I've ever seen but DSis didn't like it as the production wasn't as traditional as she would have liked. Also a local concert to see the tribute band The Illegal Eagles which was just like listening to the real band! And DD, DSis and I went to see Duran Duran who were performing at a local racecourse (fab! Apart from the event organisation which was abysmal!).
DD has been down to stay with me and I've been up to the North to see her. A good friend also drove down from the North to spend a lovely weekend here so we did some local touristy things that I hadn't bothered to do before which was great fun!
So that's the main events! I'm not going away anywhere now till October as I prefer to stay pretty close to home during the school holidays - going away at this time of year is too noisy, crowded and dear!
SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Not so scrimpy the past weeks! Although I have been buying clothes as my weight has continued to drop down. But I have managed to sell nearly all last summer's and this early summer's clothes on Vinted as these don't fit anymore! I've also had to replace them but have had some excellent bargains on Vinted and also Zara and H&M in the sales (whee hee! I can fit into Zara clothes now!).WEIGHT
This has gone so well - I've lost 6 stone over the year as last Monday was my Mounjaro one year anniversary! I'm currently wearing a size 18 down from a 26 and am still aiming for another 2 stone 9lb to reach what I think will be my target weight although I will take it as it comes. I went into a shop recently where I hadn't seen the owner for some months and she didn't recognise me at first! It was only when I spoke to her that she gasped and apologised!😂. Quite a few folk have complimented me and said I don't look gaunt in the face after losing so much but this may be because I've lost the weight slowly over a year.Of course, now the big increase in the Mounjaro cost announced the other day has put a bit of a spanner in the works, but I have a Cunning Plan (as Black Adder would say!😂)........
To be announced later... (but hopefully not in two months time!😂)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
