Thank you @beanielou - it's always great to spend some time with them - they're such beautiful and lovely natured dogs. ❤️
My friend's Big Birthday Bash was lovely - her family did a beautiful buffet spread in her DD's garden - the food was delicious and there was plenty of wine. The weather was really nice and warm and everyone enjoyed themselves - especially my friend, which was the main thing!I met a friend today for lunch in a local cafe - we both had cheese on toast. It was nice to see her as we hadn't caught up for a while.DD is staying on Thursday evening till Tuesday morning so it will be lovely to see her again. She'll be WFH here on Friday and Monday - we are off to the V&A on Saturday to catch the new 'Cartier' exhibition which I've really been looking forward to seeing.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
I updated all my YNAB categories on Sunday as it was the first of the month. All looking good and no real overspends in May.My First Direct Regular Saver account has matured so I have moved the capital and yearly interest over to my Leeds ISA Easy Access account and have opened another First Direct Regular Saver at 7% interest again. I put the full £300 per month into this so there is a nice amount of interest paid at the end of it.
My friend paid for lunch today so I just left a tip. I also had my Tuesday Pilates and gym sessions and nail appointment. Plus my Ocado delivery as I had a few things to top up after being away.
No PB win this month! I've stopped doing the twice weekly lottery so saving a little here!WEIGHT
Weigh in yesterday went very well. I lost 4.8lbs which I thought was excellent as I hadn't weighed in since just before I left for Scotland - I also had plenty to eat and drink on Sunday! I was so pleased at the birthday do as I was complimented on my weight loss by quite a few people I hadn't seen in a while. It's so nice to be able to wear the sort of fashionable clothes I couldn't when I was bigger and to feel so well too!😀👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Enjoy the Cartier exhibition SSG. I went on Sunday and it was super. Some really lovely pieces on display. 💍⌚️👑 If you were thinking off eating whilst in town then do check out Ceru in South Ken, delicious Mediterranean food about 7 mins walk from the V&A.2

I'm pleased that you really enjoyed the exhibition @lashie and thank you for the tip!😀. It's always good to have restaurant recommendations for London. I'll keep this one in mind. DD has booked a restaurant before we go - a Greek one - I've not been there before and I love Greek food so looking forward to trying it.
@in_need_of_direction - I hope you get to see the exhibition - I know it's a bit of a journey for you! This morning was Pilates and gym - I picked up some fresh berries for DD, had a quick flat white in one of the cafes on my way back and bought a gift voucher from a local jewellery store for a good friend's birthday. The shop sells quite a bit of the Swarovski/Pandora type of jewellery. My friend really likes a jewellery range called Annie Haak, which they stock, so I'm sure she'll find something there.
This afternoon I had an appointment at the hospital re. a ganglion I've had on my wrist for some months. My wrist tends to ache a little sometimes when I lift weights at the gym since I've developed it. The consultant checked me over and I'm going to have it drained although there is a good chance it will just refill again! I'm just waiting now for DD to arrive.

Spends were the usual Pilates/gym sessions, fruit in Tesco, coffee, gift voucher and cab fares to and from the hospital.
WEIGHT
Both my Pilates teacher and PT both said today how pleased they are to see my continuing weight loss and how much I have improved in the sessions - which was very nice to hear! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I would love the details of the Greek one if it’s nice please. Agree recommendations are far nicer than just taking a chance in town isn’t it.I have a ganglion on my wrist that comes and goes, frustrating little blighter it is. I have noticed it is making an appearance again lately as I have increased my Pilates practice. I got rid of it for a few years as I fell off my bike and went down wrist first - fractured my elbow as a result so don’t recommend that method of getting rid of it 🤣 hope yours gets sorted via the drain.Have a lovely weekend.2

The. exhibition sounded great. I’m just recovering from a couple of days in London…..we spent quite a lot of time travelling up and down the river on one of the tour boats 😃
Your weight loss is amazing. Glad you feel so much better.January spends - £587.582 -
The treatment for ganglions used to be bashing them with a bible! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1
-
@lashie - I will PM you with the details of the restaurant. It was very nice - but rather expensive! However DD treated me to lunch so that was nice!👍
Thanks @milann - I read your post about your trip - you certainly crammed a lot in!
@satchmo1 - yes, I remember about the bible! I suppose any big, heavy book would have worked just as well with crushing a cyst! I did have a small one on my other wrist when I was a child but it seemed to disappear overnight. I think I must have bashed it when I was out playing. The exhibition was very enjoyable. The jewels were absolutely beautiful and it was very well planned and thought out. I did get an email from the V&A before I went to say if you joined as a Member when you got there they would refund the cost of the ticket. DD and I have been saying for ages we must join as you get to enter all the paid exhibitions free of charge, plus you can go any time or day you want to them without booking and have to have a timed entrance. So we decided I would join and get the slightly dearer membership where you can take a guest and then she would reimburse me for half the cost - I always tend to go with her anyway. So I joined and they are reimbursing me for both tickets, plus on the day you got 20% off anything in the shop instead of the usual Members' 10%. DD bought the exhibition book on Cartier so saved a bit here. I will also be able to take a friend free of charge in future if DD doesn't want to go to any particular exhibition.DD has gone back up to town today to have lunch with an old friend so I've just did some housework, some steaming of clothes and popped out to get some errands.Going to slob in front of the TV tonight!

DSis is booking a girls' trip in August to see 'Evita' which is having a limited run and is one of my favourite musicals. So a Not So Scrimpy bank transfer to her with the cost of my ticket!😳
Yesterday's spends was the V&A membership fee and the cost of the taxi from the station to home as it was absolutely teeming!
Today I bought some salad stuff and yoghurt in Tesco, bleach and pink tissue paper for gifts in the pound shop and Listerine and a brow dye in Superdrug. I'm trying the Clairol brow dye. My brows are beginning to need regular dying as some hairs are now coming through grey!🤬
WEIGHT
DD and I shared a starter at the restaurant yesterday as I do like a Greek salad. I had ox tail ragu as a main and a lemon ice cream dessert - they weren't massive portions and I really enjoyed them. Plus a spritz type cocktail and one glass of Amorone. All I had when I got home in the evening was fruit and yoghurt as I wasn't that hungry after lunch.Jab day tomorrow! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
