Well I've certainly gained a ginormous black mark now! No update from me since end January!🫣
I will promise to be good from now on!
Just looking over the last three months, I have been quite busy.Travel/holiday wise I've booked another historical/art trip - this time to Venice in November. I'm also off to Devon for a week in June with a friend and a long weekend in Edinburgh in October with DD, DSis and OH.DD took me away to Rome for a weekend as a birthday present and I also had a week up in the Highlands with her over Easter where I also celebrated my big Seven O. birthday there. It was a quiet one as it's so very rural there but the neighbours were lovely and treated me to drinks and lunch. When I got back home I had my big birthday bash in the Saturday (which also would have been my dear Dad's 101st birthday❤️). It was wonderful- I had a fantastic sit down dinner for just under forty people in a private room for friends and family. No disco or anything like that - I just wanted a dinner and then drinks and mingling and chatting till late. DD, DSis and OH were brilliant and gave me the whole event as my birthday gift. The food was excellent and the birthday cake was a surprise and out of this world. It looked like a large flower arrangement- but was made out of individual cup cakes. Everyone including me thought it was an actual arrangement- it was so real looking. And the cakes were delicious! But it was so lovely to see everyone - apart from some elderly cousins and my friend and her OH who couldn't attend owing to ill health, everyone I invited was there. Among these, some good friends made the drive from the North of England and Cambridgeshire and a cousin came down from Scotland. I am so lucky in my family and friends. ❤️
I also had a wonderful afternoon tea and a beautiful bouquet on the day before my birthday. DD has for some years been buying clothes from a very well-known designer. Over the years they have often invited her to corporate events and in fact we both were taken on an all expenses trip for a weekend to the company's Italian flagship store a couple of years ago. When DD was chatting to her liaison there a few weeks ago she mentioned my special birthday and the company invited us to their West End store for a champagne afternoon tea. It was so unexpected! But so kind.Anyway I've been back down to earth for the past week (although said design company are whisking us off again next weekend!).This week I've got Pilates and gym - which I've kept up and feel much better for it.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Nothing spent today - I stayed in and watched the VE parade on the TV today! I did ordered some kitten heel sandals from Next yesterday. I bought these in black for my birthday do the other week and they were so comfortable I ordered another pair in a leopard print. I have so many problems buying shoes because of big, wide feet and bumpy heels that when I find a pair that fits well and looks nice I buy another pair in a different colour! They were £32 so not too expensive in the scheme of things.WEIGHT
...... has been going well - slow but steady. I've now lost 5 stone and feel great. I'm on a 10mg Mounjaro pen now and this is my third pen at that dose. The suppression is not as great as when I started and sometimes I now feel I want to snack. But I'm not eating and drinking half as much when I go out and have continued to track my calories on Nutracheck - apart from if I'm abroad.I'm between a size 20 and 18 at the moment and it's wonderful to be able to wear really nice fashionable clothes for the first time in years.I've now got to catch up with everyone's diaries!😳Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
