Thank you @beanielou. @milann - it is lovely and I've had a very relaxing time. DD has spoilt me with lots of lovely homemade cooking!😋
it's my last day here in the Highlands today. I'll miss DD terribly, but I'm meeting up with her in a few weeks as we're off to the theatre. I'll miss the Bears too but will hopefully see them again before too long.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Nothing spent, but I've cashed out £18.41 from Opinium today.
WEIGHT
Porridge for brunch with some of DD's homemade compote. Veggie pasta again this evening to use up the last of the veg and the Christmas sticky toffee pudding that hasn't been used yet! Resume of calorie tracking starts in earnest tomorrow!

Adding a comment Opinium won’t let me cash out until I’ve hit £25 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thank you everyone!😀.@Sun_Addict - you're quite right. You can't cash out till £25 with Opinium. I made a typo - I should have wrote Topcashback! I had been looking at my Opinium account and had a brain fog!😵💫. And as to moving to the Highlands permanently? My big drawback is that I don't drive and you really need a car as living up there can be very remote and the public transport isn't great. Another thing is that I do love my life in Seasideville - my friends are there or near as well as DSis and family, I can walk to our little high street and down to the seafront, public transport is good and I don't need a car. Also I'm near London so can get there very easily if I want to do the theatre, museums, etc. Tbh there's not much to do up here unless you go to Inverness over an hour and half's drive away. Of course if you're an outdoor fiend and love outdoor sports it's paradise! DD wants to retire here eventually and who knows - I may end up here too one day! In the meantime I'll enjoy my little breaks!
I'm in the airport cafe now waiting for my flight which doesn't leave till 4pm. Hopefully I'll walk through my door around 8pm. The drive here was actually good - the roads were clear once we got to the local village and beyond. Driving to Inverness though the snow is still thick everywhere - it was like a Winter Wonderland - snow covering all the trees and lovely vista of a beautiful stag standing proud high on a snowy hill as we drove past.....Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
