So today went out to catch the bus to town. I just got to the bus stop when the heavens opened to a veritable monsoon. Luckily I had a brolly and took cover under the shelter. The bus came along and promptly drove past me even though I had my hand out! I was furious! He couldn't have failed to see me! The next one wasn't for another half hour so luckily the rain had stopped and I filled the time in and did a couple of errands. The next bus turned up in time and actually stopped for me!
In town I took back my boots to Next and then had a mooch. I went into M&S and had a look at the jackets but couldn't see any that took my fancy - it's a smallish branch and you don't get the full stock. However I noticed thatthe heavier autumn coats had started to come in and found a black rubber parka that will be ideal as I need a new winter coat. My last one was a navy M&S rubber parka too which was fab. I bought it a couple of years ago and was very pleased with it. It's too big now so will be going on Vinted soon but I was chuffed to find a replacement. I then looked round H&M and found a stylish autumnal long jacket in chocolate brown faux suede. They had my size so I snapped it up. All in all it was a good shopping session with buys that will prove very useful for the coming season. This afternoon I had my pedicure - nice tomato red nails now!

Spends today were my pedicure and the clothes. The parka was £59 which I think is a very good price and I also got 20% off with my voucher. I had a loyalty voucher for £3 in H&M so this went towards the jacket and I ended up paying £41.99.This afternoon I also renewed my one year fixed tariff for electricity with Octopus as my current one has finished. I have just over £180 credit with them but will keep this there as the heating will be going on soon before we know it!

Felt better today - washed out feeling has gone. So scrambled egg on toast for lunch and salmon and rice for dinner. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

On Thursday evening I went out for an extended family member's 18th birthday dinner. The meal itself was very nice - a popular big pub/restaurant a few miles away positioned quite rurally. However the event itself was somewhat marred by the attitude of the Birthday Boy. Tbh he hadn't wanted a family event type birthday but at his age he could have at least shown a smidgeon of gratitude to his family who over the whole day had pulled out the stops for him - not to say the least for his very generous presents. He didn't exactly sulk through the meal but showed no interest whatsoever - he was on his phone some of the time, decided to disappear outside for quite a while as it was ' too hot and noisy' and wouldn't even crack half a smile when his lovely cake appeared - in fact he carried on looking at his phone. I felt so sorry for his family - one of them said 'Well, after this we won't be doing anything for his 21st!' Notwithstanding the fact I always feel why have a 21st these days when one already has an 18th, I would personally put his presents unwrapped into a black plastic bin bag and then go about my day like nothing has happened!🤷♀️
The rest of the week till today has been less uneventful! I did go to the cinema on Friday with my friend to see 'The Roses' which we both really enjoyed. Black humour and we thought very witty and funny. Both Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch were excellent. Now looking forward to the release of the final 'Downton Abbey' film.Yesterday and today I've been chilling out - read and managed to watch the whole Godfather trilogy again over the weekend!😀. Ocado delivery arriving these evening.
I've also had new neighbours move into the flat above me on Friday. I haven't spoken to them yet - they're a young couple who look in their late twenties/early thirties. There's been a bit of banging and crashing going on but that's to be expected when one moves into a new home. The guy is very heavy footed though and I can hear them chatting faintly through the ceiling. However there's not a lot that can be done about this as the flats' soundproofing is truly abysmal! The girl who had the flat previously was on her own so there was not so much noise.

A bit spendy the last few days - I had to pay the balance on my holiday in November plus I bought tickets (at a 30% discount though) for the Christmas shopping event in London that DSis and I attend every November. Also I've booked tickets for me, DSis and another family member to see the touring musical of The Bodyguard which will be at our local theatre in the New Year. Really excellent seats for £55 each - you'd pay well over double for the same in the West End! DSis and family member have already settled up with me.WEIGHT
All going ok eating wise. I'm still waiting for my next Mounjaro delivery - which I placed on the 22nd. The pharmacy did say there would be a 7-10 waiting time due to all the recent kerfuffle but this runs out tomorrow and I still haven't heard. I'm currently on the 12.5mg and my last weekly dose of this pen is tomorrow. I'm waiting for the 10mg, and I hope I get this in time for next Monday. I do have my donated pens of 7mg and 5mg but really want the 10mg as my next step down. I'm going to contact them tomorrow. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
