Thanks @beanielou, @jwil and @doingitanyway!😀.@doingitanyway- yes I agree about The Godfather trilogy. The first film is still my fav of all time - ever since I saw when it was released back in the early 70s and I was 17!
Well another month has begun! The 1st September is always the official start of autumn in my head and also my favourite season. 🍁🍂
The weather here is still sunny and mild although we had a veritable monsoon of rain for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Still we needed it and the lawn outside looks a lot better for it.Yesterday was a quiet one - Pilates in the morning, then nails and just a few errands run in the afternoon. Today has been an early start as the flats' annual inspection of communal areas and our front doors has taken place to see that everything passes the fire regulations. Mine passed ok and I'm off to the gym later on this morning.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Most of my monthly DDs came out of my account yesterday as it was the start of the new month. Spends yesterday were Pilates and nails ( which now match my nice red toes!💅🏻Today's spends will be gym, probably my usual post gym flat white and I need to buy fruit from the greengrocer and some toiletries.Money in - I had a nice surprise this morning - a £75 win on the PBs which will go into the Holiday fund plus I sold another top on Vinted!👍
WEIGHT
I emailed my online pharmacy yesterday about my outstanding pens and I received an answer back from them this morning to say they've reviewed the first order and the pen is being dispatched in one to two days. Such a relief! I don't mind waiting a little longer for the second pen as I'll have a whole four weeks use of the first.I totted up the average of my weekly calorie intake last night and it came to 1143 daily. Obviously I've had to guesstimate when I've eaten out, but I think it's pretty accurate. On weigh in today I lost a pound which is ok by me!
As it's the start of a new season I wanted to overhaul my whole health plan. The diet is going well with good steady losses - my protein intake is fine, but I do fail a bit on the fibre front even though I have fruit and veg and try to have some sort of legume daily. I want to get my intake up to the recommended daily 30gm daily - most days it appears to be slightly over half that. I'm going to start eating flaxseeds again as I can stir this into my yoghurt. On the fitness front I do my twice weekly sessions of Pilates and gym, but I want to up the ante on the days when I don't do these. I could definitely do with walking for longer and I want to start some short YouTube home fitness workouts on non-Pilates/gym days as well. I'm not going to go gung ho with this as that never works for me. Just some simple additions to add to my day. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yes, the very first one is a masterpiece. The follow ups also excellent but most of the creative energy is in the first...
Yes, flaxseeds will top up your fibre nicely

Thanks @doingitanyway and @jwil. 😀
@doingitanyway - I always thought the critics were rather harsh on the third film. Yes it wasn't a masterpiece like the first, but it was still wonderful entertainment and beautifully shot. Compared to some that critics rave over these days, I can only throw my hands up in the air.....🤷♀️
I had some sad news today in that a very elderly relative had passed away. It wasn't exactly news out of the blue as she had been suffering horrendously with Alzheimer's over the past few years, but was wonderfully and lovingly cared for by her immediate family ❤️
Epic rain here in Seasideville today interspersed with wind and sunny spells. It's certainly felt autumnal this morning when I got up. I may have to turn on the radiator in the bathroom soon!
it was my annual eye check up today. My reading glasses don't need to be changed at all but my mid-distance has deteriorated somewhat so I'm having new lenses. I've asked the optician to fit these into my current frames as I really like them still. I also had the advanced eye scan where the health of my eyes was tested. I was very pleased when he said there was no sign at all of either macular degeneration or glaucoma even though I had laser treatment a few years ago to mend two tears in the retina of my left eye. In fact he said my optic nerves were in wonderful condition for a 70 year old which bucked me up no end!😀. A little bit of cataract which he said was normal, but nothing to worry about at this stage.Catching up this evening with the first episode of 'Bake Off, which I recorded last night. Also the second half of the second series of 'Wednesday' dropped today on Netflix. It's totally nuts and I love it!🦇

Today's spends included payment for my advanced eye scan, which I really don't mind as eyes are precious. I have a category on YNAB for 'Eyes' - I put a monthly amount away to cover this sort of thing and new glasses.Other spends were a bag of flaxseeds from the health shop and a sympathy card.WEIGHT
Hooray! My new pen was finally delivered today!🥳
As part of Seasidegal's New Improved Health Routine For Autumn, I went for an extended walk and did a five minute YouTube stretching work out just beforehand. I also threw in three sets of calf raises in the kitchen when I was waiting for the air fryer to finish, which is going to be dead easy to chuck in daily! Another thing I've realised also is that I should really be increasing my water intake - I was very good about this when I first started Mounjaro, but I've slacked off a bit over the months. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Very mixed bag on the weather front today! I woke up to a really dark wintry morning with torrential rain. By the time I'd finished my Pilates session it was brilliant bright sunshine. I went out and did my gym session by which time it was monsoon time again! So I had a coffee in the cafe next to the gym as I had a twenty minute wait until I had to go back to the optician with my spare of glasses as I want them to fit the lenses into these frames. We then went back to brilliant warm sunshine again! Weird weather all round!😳
It's a good friend's birthday next week so popped into one of our local boutiques that she's very fond of and bought her a gift voucher. This afternoon I took three coats and a jacket to the dress agency. Two coats and the jacket are too big now and the other coat I've had for years and never worn as I was waiting to fit into it! Again, I have found that it's not really my style any more so it can go. I'm still using the dress agency as well as Vinted as these items of clothing were taking up space in the coat part of my wardrobe and at least if they go to the dress agency they're out of my way here. It'll be a couple of weeks before the agency will get round to checking if they want them before they go on sale, but if they're not wanted, I'll put them on Vinted. I've still got a couple of winter outdoor items to sell but I'll leave these till the weather gets colder. I'll also be doing my seasonal wardrobe switchover probably next week and there will be quite a few autumnal/winter clothes going off to sell as these will all be too big for me now.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Spends were Pilates, gym, coffee, a couple of birthday cards, the birthday voucher, deposit in optician for my new lenses and some labels and envelopes from the local pound shop.WEIGHT
As well as Pilates and gym I did some extra walking. A nice lunch of sardines and salad with tinned butter beans on top! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I am a sardine fan and a butter beans fan. Never thought to have them together but thanks to you I will now. Were they tinned sardines or fresh?

Thanks @doingitanyway and @beanielou! 😘
@doingitanyway - they were tinned! I always have a couple of tins in the cupboard. I drain the oil and then sprinkle a little vinegar over them. I have the salad on the side. I actually mixed the butter beans in the salad and then topped and mixed in some of M&S's really tasty Buttermilk Ranch dressing. Yum! I always have tins of different beans on hand too to throw into salads - I love them and they're nice, cheap and nutritious! When I entered the whole meal into my Nutracheck app it totted up to 471 calories, 32.3g of protein and 10g of fibre!

Thank you! That is helpful. I love tinned sardines and like you I love tinned beans and lentils too.
I need to keep my calcium and protein high naturally, so I tend to have a tin or sardines in olive oil most days. I always have salad in, so I will copy that mealIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
