Thank you so much @milann, @jwil and @doingitanyway!😘. The routine is a good one I think as you do little tasks as you go along daily instead of crashing and burning by trying to complete everything at once. The author states you don't have to complete the plan in 30 days - you may be physically limited or work long hours, therefore you can work at your own pace as long as you follow the order the book sets out. This morning I did today's routine, had some lunch and then braved the elements to go out and pick up my new glasses that were ready. The weather today was so strange - bright sun for half an hour or so then strong winds and heavy rain - this has gone on all day! Of course when I ventured out I caught the horizontal rain and strong winds that blew my brolly inside out so I was soaked. Then by the time I came out of the opticians it was warm sun and blue skies!🤷♀️. My friend then came round in the afternoon and did my nails. I've opted for the nice autumnal dark burgundy colour - Toastie!

Spends today were paying the balance of my new glasses and my nails.I took advantage of the 🐙 free energy hour this afternoon to wash my bedding, which I always change on a Monday, and run the dishwasher on a clean.WEIGHT

Day 6 - Monday
Cleaning - which is Finish The Kitchen
- Dusted the ceiling, walls, windowsill, doors and skirting boards with my Pledge long handled fluffy duster. - Washed the fronts and baseboards of all the cupboards.
- Cleared the countertops and washed these and the backsplash tiles.
- Wiped all the small appliances like air fryer and toaster and also other bits on the countertops and windowsill.
- Wiped the light switches, sockets and door architrave.- Vacuumed the floor and then gave it a thorough mopping.Cleaning the window was also on the list but the weather has been so contrary today I'm leaving it till tomorrow when I'll also clean the blind. It's a funny thing but although the kitchen is supposed to be finished according to the book, there are a few things I've still to do. There was no mention of a cupboard for pots and pans or crockery (though I remember she includes the crockery later as stored in the dining room!). Today should also have included cleaning the tops of the cupboards but I have a few things stored on here that I have to sort out so I'm going to spend tomorrow finishing all these jobs in the kitchen.Organising - Actually this was the final kitchen job according to the book - the Silverware Drawer (or Cutlery in our parlance!). I sorted everything out here and gave the individual compartments in the tray a good clean before rearranging the contents back n
Maintenance - This was catching up with Laundry. I'm actually good with this and as today was Monday when I change the bedding, these were washed. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks SSG, I do the crash and burn routine and need to have a system of little and often so looking at your routines with interest...
Also, I notice you use collagen. Have you been using it long? and which one do you use? I'm thinking about it...

Hi @doingitanyway - I've been using collagen powder for a few months now. A friend of mine who is 80 started taking it a year or so ago and said it definitely improved her nails and skin. And both of hers is lovely! I'm not sure about my finger nails as I have gel polish toes. I use normal polish on my toes though and the nails seem strong. Also, I've lost quite a bit of weight over the past year as will know if you follow my diary, but friends have said they think my skin hasn't deteriorated into sagginess which is great as I'm 70! Has the collagen helped with this? Not sure but it's also supposed to help with joints and muscles and tbh now I'm taking it I feel I want to carry on. There's schools of thought out there that says it has no effect on taking it for skin whereas others say it does help! 🤷♀️I use the bovine collagen sold by a company called WillPowders which is the brand recommended to me by my friend. It's produced to a very high standard in Switzerland - which speaks to me rather than some cheaper brands you can get on the web made in some dodgy lab in China! If you don't want to take anything that includes animal products there is marine collagen powder out there, although WillPowders don't sell this. There's also a train of thought that marine collagen, although it helps your skin, doesn't have any effect on joints, inflammation etc unlike the bovine sort.I take just over a tablespoon each morning in my coffee - it's tasteless, although I don't think I'd like it just mixed with water!
Have a look at WillPowders' website as there's bundles of information on there. In the end these things are always a personal choice. xFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yesterday I did my Pilates and went to the gym - in the afternoon I finished cleaning the kitchen.Today I did some of today's listed cleaning routine and then caught the bus into town for a mooch. I ended up buying some black leather gloves in M&S. I do need a pair of black gloves for winter - these were a really good price at £22.50, lined and a very nice quality. Plus they came in a large size which is sometimes hard to find in women's leather gloves so ideal for me! Now I just have to be careful and not lose them.....
SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Yesterday's spends were Pilates, gym, post-gym coffee and tickets for 'Downton Abbey' which my friend and I are off to see tomorrow.Today's spends were the gloves and I ordered a Christmas Advent Calendar! These are made by the artist Angela Harding who produces beautiful wildlife scenes. I buy one every year and my DD always gets me the wall calendar as a Christmas present. They sell out quite fast so I thought I'd get in quick.WEIGHT
I lost half a pound on weigh in yesterday. Happy with this as it's all heading the right way. 👍
CLEANING ROUTINE
I finished off the kitchen yesterday. As the weather was good I cleaned the window inside and out and also the blind. Whilst I was outside I also cleaned the living room window although this wasn't part of the plan! Still as I was out there already....
I climbed up the step ladder and cleaned the tops of the cupboards. On the top of one set I keep my cookery books so these were dusted. I don't have many of these now as I get my recipes online these days. Still some have sentimental value and I only have about half a dozen in all. There were also some old Slimming World books up there so these went into recycling. On top of the other cupboard was my food processor plus wire baskets with kilner jars that hold flours, cereals, grains etc. I basically haven't used these food stuffs for months so I threw them away as they were bound to be out of date. The jars went into the dishwasher and they now hold my flaxseeds, other seeds, collagen and protein powders- stuff that I do use regularly. Everything was cleaned up there and all looks so much better than before. Then there were the shelves and drawers that the book doesn't mention! I dusted the insides of my built in wine rack above the fridge - and also the wine bottles and put these back. The top shelf of the tins cupboard also holds my baskets with medicines, first aid kit and the basket with my care kit for clothes - leather protector, cleaner sprays, jewellery cleaners etc.
I am sorry to say quite a few medicines and plasters were out of date so they've been culled and I now have a list for Superdrug tomorrow.... the shelf was cleaned and everything tidied.
Finally have a pull out drawer that holds my tea towels, cloths, laundry bags, vases and this was tidied up.
I then looked at my lovely sparkly kitchen and was very happy!❤️
I'm going to record today's routine in tomorrow's post as I only did half of it!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
