I started watching Alien Earth yesterday as a colleague was nagging me to.Β  It's not really my thing, but I'm invested now and want to know what happens :DΒ

Yes I know! Β It's rather compelling isn't it @jwil! Β If you're not into Sci-fi or even the whole Alien franchise it won't be for everyone, but they are my favourite Sci-fi films. I was a bit sceptical going into it but it's been updated well.Β

I had a nice brunch today with my pal - it felt quite a bit chillier this morning - the jacket went on. Got warmer if you were in the sun later on, but definitely an autumnal feel in the air. 🍁
Afterwards I walked down to our local high street and filled up on pharmaceutical bits and bobs to replace everything in my medicine box that was out of date when I had a clear out the other day. What with the Listerine I needed, I walked out of there Β£32 lighter - plus I bought Superdrug generic brands as well!

This afternoon I put some bits on Vinted and then did my cleaning tasks - what there was of them today - and caught up on my favourite YouTube channels as quite a few drop on a Sunday. Later I'm settling down to catch up on last night's Strictly.Β

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Spends were my brunch and the Superdrug medicinal haul.Β One of the coats that didn't pass muster at the dress agency sold on Vinted within the first hour - probably for more than what it would have done at the shop! Β I'm sorting out some other bits tomorrow to put on there.

    CLEANING ROUTINE
We are now one-third of the way through the whole system!
    Sunday - Day 10
    Cleaning - Bathroom Grout

i didn't have to do this as the only grout I have in the bathroom is on the tiled walls that are nowhere near any water. I have the shower boards in the shower cubicle and on the wall next to the washbasin. I had already cleaned down the tiled walls the other day so skipped this (hee hee!).Β
    Organising - Hair Acessories
Apart from aΒ shower cap, shampoo and conditioner that are in current use, all my brushes, combs and styling tools/products are kept in a drawer in my dressing table. So I washed all my brushes and combs and sorted out and straightened the drawer. There wasn't anything to get rid of.Β
Maintenance - daily cleaning routine and I was supposed to catch up on laundry. There wasn't anything to do today as I'd washed my coloureds yesterday.Β
So a very easy day today!  Tuesday is going to be a biggie though......🫣

Another quiet one today - I just went out to take my Vinted parcel to be posted off. I had some sad news - my cousin has passed away - he was in his early 70s and since he was in his mid-20s suffered from an awful debilitating disease. He was such a brave soul - his family was with him at the end but they're all distraught as one can imagine. This news has come on top that of my other late cousin's widow who passed away a few weeks ago. 😞
I also caught up on the phone with a couple of friends then read this afternoon.Β

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
    NSD today.Β

    WEIGHT
Jab day. Β This week's average daily calorie total came in at 1360. Weekly weigh in tomorrow.Β

    CLEANING ROUTINE
    Monday - Day 11

Cleaning - Finishing Off The Bathroom

Dusted the ceiling light and ceiling.Β
Wiped down the door and gave mirrored surfaces an extra polish
Cleaned the toilet inside and out.Β
Vacuumed the floor and then mopped.Β

    Organising- Items On The Vanity
I sorted the inside out the other day, but I don't keep anything on the washbasin itself except a nail brush! Β I do have a glass shelf above the sink that holds handwash and hand cream so I polished this and wiped the little tray that holds the bottles and wiped the bottles. I also washed out the toothbrush holder glass that sits above it.Β

So this basically finished the whole bathroom. However the one thing the book never mentioned was cleaning the window. So I did this inside and out and also wiped the blind.Β

Maintenance - Daily Cleaning with Emphasis on Kitchen
A once over to keep it looking good after the deep clean a few days ago. Wiped down cupboard doors, big and small appliances, checked the fridge for anything to be thrown away (no) and wiped the shelves. Vacuumed and mopped floor.Β
Today is the day I take out the rubbish and recycling bags so did this and wiped down the bin.Β
