Just having a nosy through your diary. It's all very nice. Poppy waterfalls and trips to Windermere. Lovely. We escape to Bowness whenever we can.

Tell them your details at the NT - they looked it up for us once when we’d forgotten ours and we didn’t have to pay 👍

I know NT won’t, but might EH places look you up on their systems and give you the members price perhaps? Fingers crossed - as you say though if not it’s a lesson learned is it. Have a wonderful time!

  • Life has thrown me a few curve balls this week. Had a lovely trip to the North East , the trains were busy but 95% of people were wearing masks . Had time to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery for once.
On the train home I received the news that my dad had fallen down some stairs and was in hospital. He tore half his ear , broke a rib and one vertebrae only small fractures though. He had to be stitched up by a plastic surgeon. I am working from my parents house this week to keep an eye on dad and help mum .
I came home last night to find my new lounge ceiling with a damp patch on it . The roofers have been to look today and will be back when it's dry and safe to go on the roof .
A colleague I worked with in my banking days has passed away she was only 55.
Feeling a bit sorry for myself I guess . On Friday I resume my child minding duties for DGS2 , a full day and then pick the other 2 after school. I am looking forward to this , just not done it for 20 months due to Covid etc . DD has returned to work today .
Money is fine and all spends as they should be. Out tomorrow night for a Christmas/birthday meal with a good friend.
About to start a big pile of ironing .
