I had nightmare neighbours at my first house, they had massive bass speakers. I aint kidding, they were shaking my house with their bass. I did all the polite requests/talked to their LL. LL basically said he cares more about tenant paying their rent on time. So I bought a few big speakers, jammed them against my walls and blasted loud music back at "strategic" times when they started going to bed after a great time partying. I did this every time for a few weeks and then they stopped/lost their jobs/moved out. Sometimes you have to protect your family and stoop to their levels.
You don`t even have to be so overt about it, it can be "normal household noise", TV, hoover, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. starting when they are ready for their rest after disturbing yours, which would tend to be around 7am for the all night party crowd? Ear plugs are useful so that you are nice and rested for your "early shift".

As mentioned try to sell to a BTL landlord, might require a good price drop to do so though? One benefit of renting is that as soon as the bottles start flying you can pack up and move quite easily.
Yes BTL landlord will probably want 20% off 305k. To make matters worse few weeks back I had rear dormer flat roof renewed for 3k so I’ll need £315k to break even with EA and legal fees.
A recent house was sold subject to contract for £375k. The house was bought by property developer for £265k last year so nice profit for them.
That sort of profit doesn`t really chime with a "bad neighbours" neighbourhood for me, are your neighbours just a one off for the area?

Inconsiderate !!!!!!, all it would probably take is to turn the bass and volume down a little.
I'd be looking to go as soon as practicable, either that or do something illegal.

I used to live next to a howling dog.  So I can well understand how you spend time wondering when the noise is going to start.

Not worth it IMO, could also backfire if the neighbour likes a scrap, subtle return of the same type of annoyance when they are resting is the best tried and tested method IMO. I would recommend Bridge of Sighs album by Robin Trower as a good  "cooler" for noisy neighbours.

This is why I refuse to live only in detached houses.

I’m petty so would most likely end in a brawl. I would make the LL’s life a living hell though. Ring all the time, show up at their work etc... until it is dealt with.

You mean you only live in detached houses?

Also unhelpful advice. Not worth being arrested for harassment.

Yes! This is why I would be nowhere near a semi/terraced house! Couldn’t deal with the people without working myself up.

Are LL actually required to do anything or remove tenants and the like? I imagine so as there's been posters advising this. I'm interested in what it is.  Or is it kinda be generally annoying until it just becomes easier to replace them. I'd have thought as long as they get the rent there non too fussed.
