YL.. I am hoping I have got my brain under control tonight, I am exhausted.. I went out in the world and it was peopley, I am don't like them very much.
Squeak needed new specs so hopefully her headaches will improve a bit. She picked purple leopard print frames.. They are £15 but I don't have to pay until I pick them up so that's bearable. I need new specs.. I did not pick any, I can't afford mine.. you know how it is.. I'm not blind, I manage ok without them so it is money I can put off spending.
The cat broke a bowl, I am now down to 3.. I may have to invest in some new ones.. I saw some lovely rainbow ones a while back but it's still money and I am tight!

Morning xx
For the love of chickens piggers - what is the point in having your eyes tested and then ignoring the outcome. Ranty Round and Naggy Nora are looking for the soapbox. But I've hidden it as stress has an adverse effect on my eye 👁👁.
How are the new chickens settling in asb? Great to hear that you are prioritising your happiness. Ignore the naysayers - you've got this and I'll cheer you every step of the way 🙂
Next item out of my bedroom is a 'useful' plastic bag thing. I was going to keep it, just not on the bedroom floor!!!! But why? 'Useful' for what exactly? Lightbulb pinged.....it's going in the bin. 👏👏
Under the duvet, which is already in the bin 😊, there was a pile of odd socks. They will be washed and paired up with the bag of odd socks already collected....and delivered to DS or put in my sock drawer as appropriate.
It's coming together ladies, it really is 😊.
A second brew with toast, then get dressed and visit Papa Round- he wants me to chase up the District Nurse to get his clips out. I'll check the Discharge Summary first to be sure
😉
My bed is made. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling. And I really must WUDUPA at least one bowl full of pots.
Big hugs all round

Not having them will not make any difference to my life but Squeak has missed days of school because she has had bad headaches. The fact I don't know where my old ones are speaks volumes, clearly they are not that necessary. I'm not just being a tomartyr.. I honestly don't think I would get enough use from them to warrant buying them. If I find the old ones I might get the lenses changed next time we go in.

Consultant's secretary has phoned and made me an appointment on Tuesday morning. Does that mean that I am seeing the consultant? I assume so. I usually have to phone the Eye Clinic to chase up my appointment so I'm upskittled. But I have texted a friend to ask for a lift, and moved my day off work next week to the Tuesday.
WM is swishing jeans and odd socks.
Right - Dad's next.

Good afternoon 😊
Baby is asleep, and I am having lunch. Then the doorbell rings!! 😱 I have already voted, you numpty!! Luckily, the baby didn't wake up (phew!) as he is my screamer!! I think I may make a sign for my door "sleeping baby - you wake it, you take it!" 🤣🤣
Bolognese out of the freezer for dinner tonight. I will start the DW shortly. Dog has been walked. I may do a '5 minute pick up' soon as well 😇 I am an expert procrastinator, so I am pretty pleased with myself for opening an email, printing off the relevant info (an updated sheet of phone numbers) and replacing the old one on my notice board before deleting the email! It took a minute or 2. Its not hard - why don't I do it more often?! 🤦♀️
As I have said before....thank you HB!! 😁9 -

GI we are all overwhelmed, that's why. We've come to believe we can't make a difference without a massive amount of energy and time, and that's just beyond us. I'm glad the idea of 'Do the dishes' and a '5 Minute Pick Up' worked, and as for deleting an email - it's one that you don't have to see next time you look at them and every little helps. I take whatever works from whatever system and if Kon Marie folding works for you, that's the system for you to stick with. What I love about Dana K White is her admission that she's 'A Slob Comes Clean' because I totally identify with that, and her absolute acceptance that she just doesn't understand what other people seem to know instinctively how to find their way out of the chaos. For me, the answer was always, 'Well, obviously I need more storage' and couldn't understand why it didn't solve the problem. I have to admit it helped with sorting the clutter into manageable chunks but it's been at that stage for several years and I need to move on from there to being free of feeling defeated by it.Today my 5 Minute Pick Up is quite a serious number of them, because Belovéd is due back around 2.00 pm and my life is much simpler if there are things he doesn't see going on. I've started quite a number of things on my list and I need to finish those before he's home.So far, laundry has been shuffled, handwashing left out overnight to drip dry has been brought in, another lot put out, and at least one more load needs to go through the kitchen sink as soon as the stuff on the trolley can be moved on to the line. The clothes I didn't want to let go of that were in the attic are being dealt with properly, most of them will be kept but some are going to be donated. It all has a bit of a mustiness about it that I can't live with so handwashing is necessary. I'm not a fan.Dog walked, our bedroom and bathroom dusted *cof* *cof* *cof* and vacuumed, my office vacuumed, discussion and negotiation with the dog about how many beds she actually needs (quite a few apparently), our bed changed, bird food and dog-walking shelves tackled, winter hats sorted (one donation) and gloves are next. Things look a bit better in the areas I've tackled but I have another pile to iron (who needs five aprons?), a laundry basket on the hob and quite a few things left on the listie from Monday. It's progress.
Better is good enough.10
