They're very pretty Pigpen. When we've been doing big outdoor events I've usually bought plain white plates etc from charity shops to bump up the numbers so I don't know what things normally cost. The plates then get returned to the CS. It doesn't happen often enough for us to want to keep them.Foodbank paperwork is taking longer than I thought it would today so I haven't got anything else done. The house doesn't look as though it's in desperate need of titivating at this precise moment so I'm not going to fret about dusting etc. Not that I would if it needed it, tbh.Better is good enough.9

Bed stripped; sheet and pillowcases in WM. I will wash the other sheet separately (then they don't wrap round each other) probably tomorrow.
Dinner, which I prepped last night is in the oven.

Good evening 😀
Towels washed, LR vac’d, grass cut, DW done.
I cleared the shelf just inside the front door. There was a year or 2’s worth of letters addressed to my friend at my address relating to a club account that I used to be treasurer of (she took over, but forgot to change the address! 🤦♀️). The club closed several years ago, but the account wasn’t closed. I have opened them all, & put the envelopes in the recycling. Most had nothing in them except the rate for unauthorised overdrafts! They are on the shredding pile. I have contacted the friend and she has apologised for not dealing with it! I have returned one letter to the bank to say “not at this address” It wasn’t hard - why has it taken so long!? Literally years!! 😱 I think that counts as a frog!
After work I cut the grass before the rain arrives tomorrow. Cuttings were put in Lottie the Hottie, which should get it nice and hot.
The vets have been phoned - grumpy dog has his op next Friday. I have booked him into the groomers for Wednesday for a good scrub.
I hope everyone has a good weekend8 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
It's do nothing Saturday so I'll report back tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning xx
I hope that the sun is shining where you are. It's tipping down here. I'm up and my bed is made. Two binders of Royal magazines brought down to be dismantled and recycled.
First brew supped. Definitely a two brew morning.
Hugs

Morning all,
Happy saturday. It is pouring with rain here which I don't mind at all as it means we have "permission" to do very little. The kids are glued to Minecraft, I have a cuppa in bed and we will light the fire shortly. The house is looking passable which is good enough for me today.
YL - How about a bullet journal / personalized notebook and pen from Etsy? There are some fantastic things on there, and anything that encourages a teenage girl to write down her thoughts/feelings/short stories/doodle is a win in my opinion.
Take care all xx9 -
Morning all,
I have taken up WAC residence for the past 2 nights - so glad nobody tripped over me, I tried to curl up as small as possible - not so easy!
Totally in awe of the flingage going on here.
Pigpen - I finally got fed up with my mismatched, chipped and ancient dinner service and we now use a plain white set from Arg0s. Not expensive at all, I bought 2 as the only practical thing my step mother ever told me was to never have less than 12 plates, so it comes out for all occasions. Bowls are shallow, plates are big!
Have called surgery for DD, so the doctor is going to call her back, and hopefully we can get something prescribed to relieve her pain.
The wm is on, I will do the HHI that is waiting, but beyond that, I may join Jazee in a do nothing Saturday, as I am dog tired from sleepless nights.
Round - 2 cuppas have not proved enough this morning, heading off to make number 3…10 -
So ... putting the carbon monoxide detector on top of the freezer seemed like a most excellent idea several years ago. Unfortunately we hadn't bargained on the cats playing up there and knocking it down behind both the freezer and fridge, which are jammed into that area of the kitchen. We're now stuck with a beeping dying battery and the dilemna of whether to empty both of them to see if we can move at least one of them to hoick it out, or live with the beeping until the wretched thing dies. They're both full height, and the freezer is the only one with the possibility of a bit a maneuverability, and it's jammed full. Beeping once a minute. And it can be heard all over the house.

Good afternoon 😁
Wet day here too, although it may have stopped now. DH is not happy (he is at work, and is a postman. And he has a lot of post today, and has fallen over - again!)
HB that would literally drive me insane! And grumpy dog would be super stressed as well! You have my sympathies
I slept in, and crazy cat snuggled in as well which was nice. I got up, unloaded the DW, WULTD (my halo slipped - I didn't do it last night!), made tea & toast and went back to bed to make a list.
WMx1 in the TD, DS's bedding is swishing. I read a chapter of my book and then tackled a cupboard in the kitchen that has been on my to do list for ages! It has chocolate, sweets and treats in it, and lots of alcohol! I have chucked 3 opened packs of rice cakes, 3 opened packs of marshmallows, various bags of Halloween type sweets & 4 mince pies! I have also binned 2 ood hot chocolate jars. It turns out there isn't actually much in there of use! I need to do the alcohol shelf. I need to get rid of a few bottles at least, so it all fits on one shelf. As a family, we don't really drink, so some of it is years old!
I have my Happy play list on, and have given myself a stitch dancing to Papa's Got a Brand New Pig Bag 🤣🤣
I am hoping to get seeds planted later.
Have a good day everyone!10
