Well, it looks like we have had a party because of the amount of empty bottles in the kitchen! 🤣 We had a few small bottles of port (the ones you get at Christmas with the cheese or chocolate in gift sets). Let's just say - don't think they keep! The bottles had black stuff in them! 🤢
The rain stopped, and there is a strong wind, but its warm! I have spent the afternoon pottering in the summerhouse/greenhouse sowing seeds and potting on. I am now slobbing in front of the TV while DH & DS are upstairs recording their podcast.8 -
Don’t think I have been here this week although I have been flying. I ventured in dancegran’s loft and have done a tip run. B BC computer anyone ?
ds2’s move is on hold as his new place have now changed their mind and are refusing to have him. So the lengthy process starts again, it is so cruel.
The rain has been extreme here today, I was on the look out for pairs of animals cueing to get on the arc.
Hope everyone has had a good week, I will try to catch up with reading the thread. x
I have caught up now, off to bed for me x9 -
Morning all. Hugs where needed, spoons etc.
It's pouring with rain again so I'm going to get on with some flying before waiting for a break and walking the dogs. Will report back with progress later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Dancemum that is just so unfair for you all, poor DS. Sending you love, hope a new place is found for him soon x
GI every year my Mum and Dad buy DH a bottle of nice bottle of port at Christmas. He rarely drinks any and now it is accumulating in the back of the cupboard. I did gently say to them to get him something else but they ignored me. DS1 loves whiskey but I cant persuade him to drink the port and I dont mind an odd glass but I am not that keen.
DS2 is home and DS1 is at Ascot with his horses so its actually been nice for it to just be the three of us. DS2 had his heart set on a work placement next year but they have turned him down because his A level results werent good enough, which is gutting because he could have got straight As if he had worked a bit harder, and he is getting really good grades now. He is also struggling to get a part time job at the moment as there is so much competition so is worried about paying his rent in the summer. I have told him that we will help him out financially if he needs it, I dont want him stressing too much about it all.
Just a moment while I give ASB a squeeze, thank you my lovely, my niece would love a bullet journal kit, I was going to sent her some money and a pressie to open but might splash out and buy her a nice bullet journal kit instead, she would love that.
Right, this is a long post, I am off to leave you to it, no idea what the day brings, I would like to take DS to the seaside but we will see what he wants to do when he gets up. Happy Sunday all xx9 -
Dancemum sorry to hear your news. Re the BBC computer - I believe there is a vintage tech sales site. They are also for sale on eBay!
Off to the opticians and the vaccination centre later.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning xx
Hugs to dancemum, Fayolle, ionafan, asb, YL, piggers - group hug anyone? ❤
I'm up - finally. Woke up at 6.30 and eventually dragged myself out of bed at 9. Making the most of the last day of my week off. 😉
I've made my bed. Brought down another file of Royal magazines to dismantle and recycle. WM is swishing a mixed load. And I'm supping a brew.
Have a good day

The neighbours must have been suitably chastised.. maybe radio 4 and 80's rock ballads for 9 hours blasted through their wall helped (couldn't hear it in my house!)
I woke up in terror... having something 'sprayed' in my eyes so I couldn't see and when I opened my eyes the pile of gubbins I saw looked like a man next to the bed so I panicked... so that was that.
Cuppa made, cats fed, OH in his pit. Hazels wonky tooth finaly fell out last night.. and I've cleaned up 2 deposits, thankfully on the mats!
I need to get this tip run done asap.. I need room to move stuff around.

Morning all,
Thanks for the group hug. We stayed out of the WAC until 4am this morning - wooty woot, that’s a lie in!
Wm and dw running, just about to see off yet more ironing. DH has gone to the allotment with strict instructions.
I spent a chunk of yesterday afternoon binge watching Dana White on Y0uTube. I have to admit that when I didn’t put quite the right search in and got a completely different Dana White, I did wonder what you were all up to…. The container concept made total sense - I am that person who finds bigger storage rather than throw away. But there are some things that I would struggle to remove if they were working - pens are a fine example in this house, we are overrun with pens! I will contemplate though, as I could totally relate in some areas of the stuff that fills this house. Thank you, HB.
Big Sunday hugs all round, especially YL, DM, Iona and Round (not forgetting Boris, maybe the act of kindness will make him disappear…) xx10
