Weirdly I had been signed out overnight.. bizarreness!!
Morning all!
I slept horrendously.. I had PTSD flashback dreams of the worst abuses.. and then OH wanted to touch me not on my terms this morning so I've been thrown all out of kilter.. I've not had this in a long time so I am now over-thinking and analysing everything that happened in the last 72 hours... Identify, process, move on.. Ah... I've figured it out.. writing it identified it.. It was weird though it was one person who aggravates my radar, with another persons name, a nice person but a total namby-pamby mamas-boy, doing the abuse the real person did but I cannot picture that face because it is faceless now. The trigger was a seemingly minor incident coupled with OH making me uncomfortable and having OH take Twinkle to her hospital appointment today because I think it will all be fixed and fine (cardiology) and I hate loosening the reins.. I will have to have a word with OH about his behaviour though.
BUT... the sun is shining, the washing can go on the line and the over-analysing my life means I am usually fairly productive but the music has to be loud...
22 items to throw at ebeast
WM
DW
Cat trays
replace pot washing gloves.. mine have a hole!!!
Sausage casserole for dinner.
3 parcels to post.
a box of CS gibble to finish filling and it can be dropped off. I am sick of falling over everything.
Adds.. go on a cheap wardrobe hunt.. White or grey or black please.. or I may have to fablon them.. They need to look ok until I can find doors to fit.
I also need to decide what my next big project is which is going to require quids.. I currently have 3 savings pots with very little in any of them haha, I save a bit then buy food, or pay a bill, as you do!.. Tap (costs about £600 plus installation, fancy schmancy one to accommodate the increasing problems I have with my hands and would hopefully be ok as my dexterity reduces), front bay replacement (£1800ish, necessary due to cold and wind ingress *shiver*) and summerhouse for the children to play outside (I never did hear back from the Family Fund grant application we put in for Dot, their much loved treehouse is dead.(looking at reclaimed materials!) oh.. and I still need those shelves for the landing.. however, my brain is saying watch out for cheap white wardrobes and cut them down to make shelves.. it's MDF just the same.. Though the amount of gibble I have I might be better with kitchen worktops lol.

Sorry there wasn't enough cake to share. I literally only made half a cake, because I'm aiming to be slinky.
Today I have done first work shift and a dog walk. I'm planning to pot on some more plants before my next work shift.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
I'm home from the Eye Clinic - specialist that I saw today said that she wants to speak to the Consultant. Go back next week to see what he says about whether treatment is needed. Eeek.
Grey bin day tomorrow. I want that duvet in it before I take out the bin.

Good afternoon 😁
Little one is napping, bigger one is watching inside out - again! I have managed to clear the pile of gibble from the dining table that has been moved around for several weeks! I have also binned a toy, and 2 parts of another toy (put aside to fix it - I have been honest with myself that this is NOT going to happen and binned them instead!) I am feeling ridiculously pleased with myself 🤣 well, its a start.....
WM x2, DW emptied. Vacuum cleaner filter has been washed and is drying in the sun. I have picked up some free strawberry plants and taken them to the allotment. We caught 2 ladybirds, and 4 ladybird babies and have relocated them to my rose in the garden. Bug hunting makes the boys happy 😊
I hope everyone is having a good day10 -
Layla has had her annual jab booster at last, although I've been warned it may not be as effective as it might have been because she's on steroids. I can't keep up with her prescription med complications any more; this has been going on for far too long. At least she had it this year, it was a Covid-19 casualty last year.Things done. I'm titivating at the edges at the moment but it's all looking a lot better. I wrote down all the things that needed doing this week and I've done a lot of them plus - as usual - a lot of things that weren't on the list. The list is shorter than it was on Monday morning and at this stage that's all that matters. (Not the fact that there's a laundry basket of handwashing in the kitchen I just can't face today.)I'm not sure I'm going to manage a carload out this week, which is extremely annoying. I just don't have the energy I'd need to get all the cushions, duvets, pillows, blankets etc down from the attic on my own to sort through and declutter, but the minute I have that's what's next on the list. One category at a time. For those who, like me, just could not declutter enough to make a difference, this is the explanation that finally made it possible for me to start. This is Dana K White of 'A Slob Comes Clean' who I totally identify with, explaining The Container Concept. This information, coupled with the idea of 1 on the first day, 2 on the second day, 3 on the third day for tasks that were genuinely too daunting for me to know where and how to begin made what had been imossible for 10 years really straightforward. The follow up video on the blanket box is a good one too, and explains why not making a mess while decluttering is a very good idea that works better than the Kon Marie system for some of us.Better is good enough.8

Thank you Honey_Bear - again! I have watched the container concept and a couple of other videos, including the blanket box one, and I can see how this makes sense. Have you read her books? I am thinking of buying one (or both), but on kindle so I am not bringing more stuff into the house! I have to admit though to feeling a little anxious watching her "fold" her blankets!! The one thing that I HAVE adopted from Marie Kondo is folding! It definitely works 🤣
After dinner I followed Dana White's advice - I have done the dishes! (WULTD in flylady speak 🤣) Surfaces have been wiped as well 😇 (I am feeling a little smug!) Oh, and I threw away another toy earlier!8 -
Gosh lots going on! Pigpen the mind is a very powerful thing, I know how several things can combine together to really knock you for six. I think that happened to me yesterday when I was stressed about work then DS messaged saying he felt poorly.
Round lets hope you dont need more treatment. Oh and Valli that cake looks amazing. DH likes a bit of cake for his pack up so I make them and freeze half.
Up early so went for a jog/walk before work, hung washing out, paid stuff, called at beauty salon to get eyebrows sorted, cleaned kitchen, made chicken pie, brought washing in and put cycling kit over airer, more paid stuff, 20 mins yoga, food shopping order finished. Oh and its nearly bedtime!10 -
Not my cake... think it's Fayolles (quite agree though)
bin out (recycling)
