Tuesday- I'm on 15 NSDs and there should be enough money left to last til the end of the month, so not too bad.
I've been really busy so not been checking in as often as I should.
Grateful today- for no rain (though it's still ridiculously cold for nearly the end of May), for DD having an "in-person" rather than on-line youth group meeting and a walk at lunchtime with my colleague and our dogs.9 -
Today will be NSD 16, was scuppered yesterday by running out of laundry powder - not too shoddy as I last bought 3 in December so can't really complain in nearly June. Beds stripped and remade before half term on Friday - hence the need for laundry powder. Sunshine predicted by the weather witches. All the bedrooms properly cleaned and hoovered now. Just the ground floor left to do today. I have a list, I am ploughing on through. Can't view my mythical tax credits online, so they must be adjusting them, then readjusting them, then picking a figure out of the air, doubling it, timesing it by 20 and dividing by 100. Anyway Friday is payday because Monday is BH. Is it just me or has May absolutely flown by?Gratitudes for yesterday -dh suggesting we watched Spiderman Far from Home - was good fun.DS1 returning from school laden down with iced buns, chocolate, crisps, tiffin, and cookies - English lessons have changed!!So I robbed most of them off him and they will be appearing in the boys' lunchboxes for the next 3 days. On NSD No 19
I think I'm going to have to write May off. Not feeling 100%, still getting nothing done and beginning to feel very de motivated.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.12 -
Hugs Toni'sfriend. It's a bit peculiar, the weather's not helping and people on other threads have mentioned cold/ hay fever like symptoms. I'm still thinking it might be aftereffects of my jab. Sure I've got a cold but no sneezing.
So baby steps, keep plodding, just do what you can and look after yourself, we had a snowy start to the year followed by what feels like months of rain. Cold, damp and miserable. I prescribe lots of pampering. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -

Dug out 10 x 10 l pots of soil, drilled drainage holes in 10 builder's buckets and 2 ex kitchen bins. Mum has decided the clothes line pole can stay where it is, so I untied the washing line, moved the third raised bed across the yard, manoeuvred it up onto a supermarket trolley with a board on top, stood it on it's end (wrong end of course had to move it twice more to get the knot hole at the back and at the bottom), guided it over the top of the washing line pole, back down to trolley level, then pulled the trolley out and wrestled it down to floor level. Levelled it off with a bucket of stones, moved many buckets of soil across (I'd guess 15, was going to count when I'd finished), weeded them before moving.
Mum made us tea of scrambled egg with tinned toms, the remains of the bacon and I finished the last few mushrooms in the box. I'd washed at the outside tap then came in to scrub my nails. Stripped my dress and jumper off as I came in the door (stepped to the side so I wouldn't shock the neighbours but didn't want to walk further into the house with my messy dress) and put my nightie on. I did want to go back to move more soil and paint (many boards, 10 buckets, 2 bins) but since I stopped, I've become aware of how much everything is hurting so calling it a day, despite the sun coming out to play. It's been dry all day but quite cold. Will check the food order for tomorrow and make adjustments (less olives - DS1 and his wife can take them home with them now food plan has changed - and more rice puddings). Must do that before I drift off to sleep.
Grateful for getting things done, knowing I've done as much as I could, mum making tea, using up bits.
Altered my tessimo order, deducted 2 things but have added 10 (5 were tins of rice pudding). difference is £10.20. Just added everything up and my food has gone over budget by £10.20 . Oh dear - I thought I should have more left. Just looked again and I'd worked out I had 26-32 left. So I now have £16-12 left (minor panic because I added the 26-32 into my total). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Evening turtles 🐢
NSD number 17 here, which means I've hit my self-imposed target for the month. Nothing much to report today, back was playing up badly this morning but did a workout anyway. Got caught up with work and feel a bit more "normal". Have an appointment with occupational health tomorrow about my back, made sure I made a couple of notes beforehand as I have no idea what they tend to ask.6 -
Today I am grateful for completing my tags data, for passing a problem upwards and it being taken seriously, for time this afternoon just to chat with a colleague who is leaving at the end of the year, for no rain and temperatures hitting double figures, for online books.Mothernerd- less olives and more rice pudding sounds like a good move to me!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5
