Good evening by some crazy pot luck I managed to get a full day of teaching art and creative writing to y5's in a non curriculum day to day as a part of general cover work. It was a lot of fun, but very eye opening in terms of what I could have done if I have had more than 5 min to prepare the day! Anyhow had a great day, the kids seemed to enjoy it and I got to get paid for telling 23 kids that it is their good right to be creative - and that everybody are. Yay.
Happy Tuesday, it did cheer me up. Hugs to people in treacle - microwave it and it will be so much easier to move through(not funny I know). Grateful for ds being safely back in one piece after his first road trip.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Tuesday NSD 7/15
I’ve been very busy at work but have been taking it in my stride. I went for a lunchtime walk in a small woodland near me. Felt a bit dizzy when I first left the house - I think from looking at the laptop screen for too long but it soon passed. It was really restorative to just be outside in the fresh air, surrounded by trees, bluebells, and the sound of birdsong. I ignored the sounds of the nearby road. Ha!
This month has been spendy, and I’m still planning to list a few items for sale online to make amends. I’ve looked some things out but been too busy to list them.
Grateful to live near some woodlands, for a walk, and for the rain waiting until I got back in the house before it poured down.

Today I am grateful for sleeping well, for a good gym session, for getting my tags mostly finished (or at least, I think they're nearly done...), for a good book, for utube.

Evening turtles. NSD 16 here, full on day at work, spent half the day in the office and half doing visits. Signed up to zipcar so I can get the train in to work from time to time and use their cars to do visits rather than my own. That's about as exciting as my day got!
Grateful for catching up with work, not being bothered too much by management and tasty vegan curry for dinner.5 -
More tidying in my room (gathering rubbish before putting the bin out for collection) and starting to get the filing under control. Been thinking about getting rid of some qualifications/ results from courses I've done over the years. CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) can definitely go because the syllabus changed and I'd have to restart from the beginning. Think it's too late to use it professionally whereas if funding rules changed I'd be quite happy about continuing with the Environmental Management and Science degree just for pleasure (I'd have to get an awful lot fitter to do the outdoor practical stuff). Will hang onto 'O' and 'A' level certificates a bit longer. Boys would probably laugh at my computing certificates (of those I have on paper one's from when DS3 was a baby and one from when he was 10 - when they were just telling us about this thing called windows where you could have two documents on screen and transfer information eg costings on a project from one document into the other).
Bin outside, sorted lunch and tried to get myself into town. Finally phoned for a taxi at about 3 pm and was told it would be 20 -25 minutes. Took the last lot of cs donations, meandered down the main shopping street, picked up a few bits and pieces (might have found somewhere for mum's fake flowers`- 2 places we've used before have closed) and then went to my house Elicited promises from DS3 that he will get the pizza box mountain squashed and in the bin and put it at the end of the back for collection, then phoned for the taxi back to mum's.
Had taken pasta bake portions out of the freezer earlier so we both had those and then I went out in the yard and did about an hour and a half painting (many boards, 3 buckets and an ex kitchen bin - probably need at least two more coats but have made a start). Also had a chat with DS1 and he, d-i-l and grandpuppy will probably come on Saturday (easiest for buses). He's also offered to buy takeaway and I've accepted (will still put out some of the 'starters' I've ordered and will make cake). Following on from yesterday's tin stock check, I'm going to make a few amendments to the order. I found one rice pudding but not sure there are any more in the house. Soup, tomatoes, baked beans and kidney beans are fine (soup was hidden at the bottom of the stack) but will need more tinned fruit soon and possibly pasta. Need to look at cereals too.
Spend day and my current totals are Miscellaneous all £100 spent and Food £`(just worked it out and now my diary's gone awol). NSD 12 yesterday.
Grateful for prospective visit (more hugs - got my first hugs in 14 months from DS2 and his gf last Saturday, I even stopped hugging mum because I didn't know if that would be putting her at risk), still eating from the fridge and freezer (although it's mostly vegetables now) escaping to town for an hour, getting painting done.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Hi everyone
Had a hectic day yesterday with lots of work issues which i got wound up about plus i had to do some of my PT job over lunch. In the afternoon i had my second vaccine and then had to go into the office as i had an evening meeting in person; first time i've been into the office for a year! I got home at 9.15pm. Have felt really tired today with a headache, not sure if it's cos of too much work, too much driving, too much going on at home (decorator here tomorrow) or after effects of the vaccine - probably a bit of all of them!
Yesterday was NSD 15. Today has been spendy as i bought paint; decided not to go to the place the decorator suggested as their cheapest paint, currenlty on special offer, is £50 for 5L! That sounds expensive to me so i went to 'bee an queue' where i got 3 x 2.5L tins for £75 rather than 3 x 5L tins for £150 which would also have meant i had loads leftover. I'm not sure i totally love the colours i have chosen but they will have to do!
Gratitudes - having my second vaccine; boss staying at work to support me at a difficult meeting; DD1 coming round for tea
Hugs to those who need them

A low spend day, posted a card to America, then armed with my coop card, I went to buy my TV paper. Was annoyed that the 50p off coupon hadn't worked, thought I'd stand my ground to get the discount, after the new employee asked for help from a colleague. When I showed him the coupon in my phone, I noticed the coupon was off my mum's TV paper, which I've sometimes bought for her. Felt quite embarrassed, as a queue had formed behind me!
Tidied bits in the garden after tea, then did more sewing.
Grateful for a hot afternoon, a good day at work, another bit of the garden being tidierUse it up, wear it out
