Weekly food shop today, so a spendy day. Had spent the max this month to qualify for £10 off at lidlee, so came in handy. Also used a voucher to get 3/4 off a case for my new phone at the long river shop.
Grateful for finally getting chance to do some knitting, a letter from an 8 year old pupil apologising for being cheeky yesterday, finally being the weekend - I can spend some time in the garden 😁Use it up, wear it out

Morning turtles,
NSD 13 yesterday. Got some more housework done in between work, and made a lovelyvegan curry in the slow cooker. Managed a swim too, that perked me right up after feeling poorly recently.
Today won't be a NSD, meeting a few friends for drinks, it's the first time I've been out since September and it feels weird! But first, time for another swim.
Grateful for swimming, for feeling better, and for it being the weekend.9 -
Well so the old car that was stuck in my driveway is now back on the road, apparently my son spend the whole evening last night driving all over town with his friends. Which is exactly what I have told him not to do. But fingers crossed he is now over it and just proud to be a driver, and I can now park in my own drive way, that is a great day.
Need to get back on the turtle track after a bit of a fluttering of a week and even my mind seems very fluttery, so I shall do my house work, go for a run, take ds to the train and go t a gallery - I have booked, and then I will have an evening here of hopefully reading and drawing - and spreading my creative wings all over the house.
My garden is looking ridiculous, like a person coming back from a bike ride on a wet and windy day after not having a haircut for a very long time. Action will have to be taken, but it will have to wait till it is a bit more dry - in the meantime I will just go and pull out a few weeds before they get too big.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Saturday- I'm on NSD 13, not done any "top-ups" after the food shop on Wednesday, but paid a bill today so not quite 3 in a row!
After being "washed out" yesterday it's been not bad today and the sun made a brief appearance, so got some bits done in the garden.
Grateful today- that DD completed her list of jobs with minimal complaints, that it stayed dry for me to get the pony exercised, some cool stuff at work (always a new experience to be had no matter how long I do it).7 -
I don't know about everyone else, but I've had a mostly lovely day! Set off early for a walk with hubby. We went a route we've only been once before, at one point we were followed by a herd of 10 young cows 😊 bumped into a friend, who told us that if we carried on straight ahead, the route went in a loop & took us back to the road again. Why not, we decided. Thought it'd be @4 miles in total by the time we got home, but it was 5.93!!! Hips aching, so a good time to sit & replace the coat zip. It was fiddly because of press studs, so took me longer than I thought. Late lunch, then went out to do some weeding. The sun came out, so it was quite pleasant. A huge pile of ironing just finished after tea.
Grateful for a good walk, the sun coming out, my Complete Tightwad Gazette book arriving in the post 😀
(ended up spending, ordered something that no3 son wanted from eboy, so thought I might as well order a couple of things we wanted too!)Use it up, wear it out

Today I'm grateful for getting my second jab, two weeks earlier than planned and MrP (who hadn't been asked to make a second appointment yet) just by turning up at a vaccination centre that deals with our surgery and speaking nicely to a few people. might be worth trying if you're over fifty and its eight weeks since your last jab. (MrP is only 47 but just said he'd come with me and while he was there...)Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Afternoon turtles 🐢
NSD today after a pretty spendy day yesterday out with friends. It was all pretty much as I expected. I took myself home relatively early, ordered pizza, and promptly fell asleep on the sofa. OH on the other hand didn't drag himself in until it was light and has spent the entire day being sick/sleeping/feeling sorry for himself. I think he needs to remind himself where the limits are!
Went horse riding today, slightly naughty pony but nothing too crazy. Don't think the wind helped. No jobs done around the house as I got everything done yesterday so today is a bit of a chill day.8
