Evening all
Another NSD so i think that is now 12Got paid today but was overdrawn yesterday (slightly) which made me stop and think as i have been treating myself a little recently so need to reign that in. Had a good day at work. Had soup for tea as it is now winter! Did pilates on Fb. Glad it is almost Friday.
Gratitudes - good chat with boss about future work and responsibilities; realising and correcting a mistake i'd made on my clock card so i'm in credit by 4 hours rather than debit!; being warm and dry indoors

Evening all, hugs to those that need them & I hope the poorly feel better soon!
Nsd#12 work went OK. Met a friend after for a walk, she says I'm very inspiring & always think positively. So that was nice. Washed up after tea, then sewed in one of the zips (the other hasn't arrived in the post yet). A soak in the bath with my book, then watched the last episode of a programme & took the top layer off my tongue sucking pickled onion ring crisps 😂 yum!!
Grateful for kind words, good music being played on the radio on my way to work and warming up after getting cold outsideUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

I’ve been up since 4 organising my day! Today is going to be a busy one.
I don’t work Fridays, but I’ve offered to work a half day today because we’ve got a big project with a Monday deadline.
DS and I also have a haircut appointment around lunchtime - about a half hour drive away but it’s a close family member’s salon so we get to see them and get a wee bit extra special treatment (especially DS). 🙂
We also have friends coming to our house for dinner! We’ve not seen them in person for over a year and they became parents during lockdown. I’ll need to go to go to shops for dinner ingredients, make dinner although I think OH will take that on, and tidy/clean/disinfect at least the downstairs of the house!
I am going to collapse into bed tonight.
Other updates...
Can’t remember if I reported that my job grade submission didn’t get the outcome I hoped. Returned same grade. I can appeal the decision, but I’m undecided on it. I need to let them know by Tuesday so I’ll think on it.
OH should be getting some pennies in from his freelance work soon but it won’t be much. I spent time adjusting our budget sheet at 4am this morning. And opened 2 new bank accounts (1 of them accidentally) to separately manage OH’s work income. Never had to deal with irregular income before and all the tax bits and bobs. Slightly nervous but thought it would be easier to control if it’s separate.
I was going to close the accidental account but decided to use it for a bit of fun and I’ve named the account ‘NST’! I’m going to put weekly underspends in there and see how much I can save by the end of the year. Although not much at this rate - I’m still on NSD 5/15 this month!
Have a good day turtles x

Went for my second vaccination jab. Didn't have to wait and was out 10 minutes before my appointment time. Crossed the road to Morrisons. Was going to walk to the bus stop to check bus times but bus was coming towards me - next to last stop and then it comes back so went to bus stop and waited. Driver wouldn't take my money (most people had passes) so saved £2. Lunch was paid for with points. In good time for the bank and not many in - waited for one man to come out as I think 3 customers is maximum but man in front of me gestured for me to go to the cashier as he was filling in a slip. So money in bank, only a few pounds here, will check later but should be a lot nearer my year end savings goal.
Went to my house and ate. Have filled 3 bin bags and about 6 smaller bags (just picked up toilet roll wrappers and thin bags and started filling them) into the black bin, some more paper into the blue bin, big pile of cut ivy into the top of the green bin and three lots of bottles/ cans into the brown bin. Some things were stuck to the kitchen floor - think they were used to 'mop up' when the drain started to back up. Two of them were my bathroom mats. made an executive decision that they were unsalvageable so binned them. Went round the kitchen gathering obvious waste. Phoned for a taxi, took off my sodden dress (about a foot of the hem is wet/ muddy in places) and currently under the bedclothes to warm up again.
The rest of today is a day off - I deserve it.
Grateful for getting money into the bank, pleasant taxi drivers, filling the bins.

I trust that after phoning for the taxi, you waited until you were home to take off your dress, mothernerd...!Today I am grateful for a good walk, for e-aqa allowing me to log on after months of barring me, for a very green garden, for the joy of a swept floor, for finding 3 pairs of shoes just left on some grass that are in really good nick and can go to charity.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

NSD No 16
Still decluttering. Got rid of lots of cardboard boxes today into the recycling bin. Sent ages flattening them all up so I can get as much as possible in there. Shedder arrived - very compact but it'll do the job even if it takes a while. So I shall be happily shredding away over the weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Well the wind have been driving me nuts all day, and I am not motivated to go out running, so I think I will extend my leave until tomorrow morning and just go on a run by myself, not the long group run, as distances are too long for my broken ankle! Apparently broke it years ago and didn't notice! Still hurts a hair sometimes though.
I have had a good day but feel a bit self pity and just want a big glass of wine and - a bit too much food.
I am grateful for chat w lovely colleague and a student who has come back from sick leave and now wants to sort his work out.
Grateful for parking in my own driveway after ds2 is now driving the other car, that was SORN'ed there for 6 months.

NSD #13.
Had a long day at work; didn't log off till almost 7. DD1 popped round at lunchtime; she is poorly with an infection in her gums, needed some TLC, poor love.
Went for a walk after work and got drenched! Wanted to go to the tip and CS and zero waste shop today but not managed any of those due to work; hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday.
Ditty - i don't live far from Wales and love bara brith - with plenty of butter
mothernerd - hope you had a restful remainder of the day
Gratitudes - Oooh Gary Davies playing mastermix of Adam & the Ants while i was making my tea; Friday night = wine & gogglebox; DD1 can talk to me about her worries
