If I think hard I can scrape together some of the things I've done - advice for brother who is doing quite well. He walked to the start of his road on Friday (it's a long one that goes half way across the borough) and is feeling much better. Yesterday I pushed the mattress back into place (quite a lot of moving stuff needed to get at the bits I needed to get at) and later on started a tin stock check - moved small amounts into the kitchen, found some soup, rice pudding and fruit (all of which mum is devouring at a rate of knots). Want to look at the remaining bits in the fridge freezers and work out a meal plan. Food order was put in on a day when I'd already spent money but it's coming on Thursday, ready for the weekend and do some prep for June, made some space at my house by rubbish clearing, recycling and cutting back greenery.
Any volunteers for June?
Grateful for brother improving and being home, could support my niece and tell her she was doing the right thing even though she wasn't being appreciated, medical advice and reassurance from newest daughter out law (Thoracic specialist), surprise visit from DS2 and d-o-l (they spent last weekend getting my ex readmitted to hospital as he wasn't coping well), prospective visit from DS1 and d-i-l and grandpuppy, salted caramel cheesecake (bought with mum and her usually regular visitor's in mind, I was saving it for next weekend as it didn't get eaten at Easter - but mum got it out).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Evening turtles 🐢
NSD today, busy day at work, drove for best part of an hour to a home visit only for the kid not to be there so drove all the way home again! Frustrating as I have an urgent report due and could've done with that time to get it done, but there we are.
Grateful for painkillers today for my back, a much needed conversation with my manager, and it being payday!7 -
Sending hugs to those in need of them.
Now on 17 NSD's. Still bringing my lunch into work. Was given the date when I am finishing where I am currently working.
Grateful for:
Getting a few more shifts at work.
Reasonable night's sleep.
The shamrock that I put into a new plant pot with new compost last month, coming along nicely in the kitchen.

Mothernerd, I drew the June straw when you took on May. So it's my turn 😎Today I am grateful for being able to help out a lot at work, for raising a few issues with the right people to get something done about them, for getting petrol 6p cheaper than anywhere else, for not getting soaked in any of the pelting bursts of rain, for dd getting a bronze certificate from the junior maths challenge.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Sending hugs to @ditty1234, @calling, @DrCarrie. Well done on the c/c @foxholes.

A good day at work, my review went really well, pupil telling me he felt really calm (without any prompting), another pupil giving me a hug on entering their classroom.
Had a nap after tea, microwaved the pudding I'd bought to eat on the special day in December, as I don't like the fruity pudding, then did some sewing.
Grateful for getting some points across in my review, being thanked by a colleague for supporting her through a tricky time, pupils sharing with me how they're feelingUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning turtles - apologies - have been absent for most of the month - although have been reading along on phone (not keen on posting more than a sentence or two on phone) Just too tired from work! - started the month with a morning's work and then worked 3 weeks - usually without much notice of changes, so I think that's what hit me - I couldn't do much planning and squeezed stuff in here and there.
Seems to have been a very expensive month - lots on food (6 of us + 1 visitor for a week), 4 birthdays and some gardening bits - and 2 lots of car insurance and 1 car tax. Still, no debts incurred, just less saved, so am thankful for that
Thankful for the extra unexpected hours at work meaning more money come pay day, that the weather may be turning (shhh....), for seeing friends, for having the date for jab #2, for heated airers meaning I can still get washing dry!
