What's that film you love. The one about the space hairdresser and the cowboy. The guy he's got a tin foil pal and a pedal bin. His father's a robot and he's *!*$$ his sister. They're all "Kill all the bad guys, blow up the whatsit and go and live on the planet of the teddy bears"

Yesterday was an NSD . No 17 I think.
Food delivery today. Lot's of nice things. I really need to make a food plan.
I've booked a surprise break in Edinburgh for Himself's birthday in July. No money up front and I can cancel the hotel until the day before. Not stayed in this one but we stayed in a few in the same chain in Germany and Austria and they have been wonderful. Things have to get better so I'm hopeful. I know a few really nice restaurants there and I'm hoping that the art galleries will be open but if not lots of lovely walks. The water of Leith is just stunning and the Innocent Railway walk to Duddingston and the fabulous Sheep Heid's Inn at the end of it.
Hopefully, it will all work out because I think we all really need to be getting some kind of living again (observing the rules of course).
Boy coming for his roast chicken dinner so i have to go see to the potatoes.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

Today I am grateful for some morning sunshine, for doing a bit of lawn edge trimming and weeding, for a restful day, for video chats with big sis, for flowers in the house.

Still on NSD 5/15. Sunday sweep of £8.93 underspend in leisure budget which has been swept into my accidental bank account named NST.
May has been my most spendy month of the year so far. And it will end spendy as we’re going on a break during the long weekend to DS’s grandparents’ caravan where we plan on eating out and taking a couple of day trips.Friday our friends came over for dinner so I needed to buy some extra ingredients for our meal-planned fajitas. Luckily I found a YS pack of 4 chicken breasts, YS coriander at Tco. And mum had a tub of guacamole from Marks that she didn’t want anymore. It cost less than £2 for tortillas and soured cream. It was good that our dinner didn’t cost us much more, but even better to spend time with our friends after such a long time. Saturday was our weekly grocery delivery, and today we went to the shops to buy DS joggers and a pair of shorts just in case the sun makes an appearance. DS also got to spend some of his ‘earnings’ from doing helpful jobs in the house. Over the last few months, he’d saved £8.70 and finally got to see why saving is worth it. He bought a car for £6.47. Other than visiting the shops, I did a bit of relaxing on the couch with a tea. And then I’d summoned the energy to vacuum and dust the bedrooms, and put away the washing to make space for hanging another. Grateful for OH making dinner, having enough energy to tidy/clean, and DS being such a great sleeper and having dry nights for 2 weeks now. NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

Love the quote mothernerd, love Malcolm Tucker !
I'm on NSD 14 now as no spends today, met parents for breakfast, not seen them for 15 months so was really lovely. They live 250 miles away but had been up here to visit stepmum's 101 year old mum This afternoon i finished some of my self employment work then went for a long walk.  Done minimal housework oops. This afternoon i finished some of my self employment work then went for a long walk.  Done minimal housework oops.
Yesterday was very spendy as went into town to the zero waste shop, bought a load of bargain household items from one of the cheap shops and bought a couple of items in the SM including flowers for stepmum as it's her birthday soon. Also went to the tip. Then had a walk with friend around a local village, lovely walk, chat and scenery. Went to bed early and finished my book.
Have had a relaxing weekend but not looking forwrd to busy week ahead including having to go into work (boo) and attend a tricky meeting (double boo)

Today will be NSD 6/15 - it will! I’m going to be very busy at work today and it’ll be the same tomorrow with a big project I’ve been part of launching. Given how spendy this month has been, I’m going to turn up the ninja turtle and do as much as I can this week to not spend and possibly bring in a little income by listing a few items for sale online. I’m going to do this as a challenge - find one item to sell and list it during breaks away from the computer. Will aim for 3 listings today. Grateful for tea in bed, a good sleep, and feeling very awake and ready to go. Have a good day turtles. X NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸3

A brilliant day yesterday. Went for a shorter walk with hubby after breakfast. My hip & leg were sore from the day before, & hubby had pulled a muscle between his shoulders when going upstairs. Spent nearly all day in the garden, doing some weeding. That's another border done & moved a plant too. Went inside & cut out a bear, then sewed it together after tea. A long, hot bath with Epson salts in & my book, then ended the day with an episode of The Pact.
Grateful for a hot bath, achieving outside, delicious pulled pork for teaUse it up, wear it out

Morning Ninjas I have been under a cloud this weekend, a complete loss of motivation. I am hoping the cloud is now dissipating and I'll get on with work.
Am grateful for work! For my little dog cheering me up, and for ds2 visiting ds1 and having a fab time - with ds2 driving themselves around. I think the project honestly scares me to death, but fingers crossed they will both be home safely tomorrow afternoon. Its sunny for now, but the radio ruined my bright outlook by promising (more) showers later.

Another NSD on Saturday so at 17 now.
Sorry to say that I'm back to feeling ropey again. Been awake most of the night with stomach cramps and am feeling really nauseous. Just having some mint tea to see if it settles a bit. I had a hairdresser appointment at 10 o'clock this morning but I'm going to have to cancel. It's the first appointment of the day so unfortunately I'm not going to be able to let them have much notice. I did try to phone in case someone was in early but there's no reply. I feel a bit bad about it.
Anyway, once I've sorted that out I think I'll go back to bed for a bit.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8
