Hi everyone
Yesterday was NSD 16. Had a very long day as went into the office for an evening meeting and didn't get home till 10pm. That's the way to get NSDs and eat more healthily - no opportunity to eat or spend !
Painters have almost finished DD2's bedroom - the paint colour looks lovely so hope she likes it. They're painting the kitchen next week.
It has been sunny and dry here for the past couple of days so i'm off for a quick walk before logging back into work
Was grateful yesterday for boss again sorting out work issues; DD2 finishing her uni course; beautiful red sky on the drive home from work

The sun has come out here too! Been an absolutely beautiful day, and not a moment too soon. Slept really well last night and didn't have too much back pain this morning, so went for a swim. My occupational health appointment was moved back a week which is annoying but not the end of the world.
Listed some stuff on ebay for my mum, if it doesn't sell then it's going to the charity shop. Gave my car a quick clean inside and did a few small jobs around the house.
Shopping coming later, have ordered a cheeky bottle of wine, might open that and have a glass. OH doesn't drink wine so I don't buy it often as I have to drink the lot myself! Tends to take me a couple of days at least lol.
Grateful for sunshine!, feeling on top of work, and a pretty pain free day!7 -
Today I am grateful for some useful conversations at work, for getting to the gym, for a bouncy dd, for good books, for my job.

Nsd, think it might be number 15, but will have to check. A difficult day at work, some children having a very tricky time. Had a nap for half an hour before tea, washed up, then spent two hours pottering in the garden. A bit of knitting to end the day & some TV.
Grateful for the sun coming out eventually, another weeded border & a much needed napUse it up, wear it out

Thursday- still on NSD 15, it was almost a NSD but an artist I really like has a massive sale on canvas prints so I've bought 3 😱😱😱. In my defense it cost the same as 1 at full price, and means I have art for my bedroom, kitchen and living room when I finally get the decorating finished!
We have had the orange ball of radiation in the sky as well- i am very glad to see it and I'm very hopeful it hangs around for a few days (I would say weeks but I live in the north of Scotland and I am a realist 🤣).
Grateful today- for stumbling across the art sale and being decisive enough to pick what to buy, for some sunshine and only a half day at work tomorrow before a weekend off.8 -
I did get a bit done yesterday and I'm on NSD No 21 now.
It was a nice, warm, sunny day and the children were all out playing. Some of them are just toddlers so mums and dads out supervising. It turned into a bit of a gossipy session for all us adults. One of the neighbours cut the communal grass after the council had hacked it to pieces. He looked at the pansies and says he thinks there must have been a frost and the pots were in an exposed position. I don't remember there being a frost but he's probably right. He's much more knowledgeable than I am.
It's looking a bit dull and drizzly just now so I'll get the ironing done before Himself gets up and then see what else I can do.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Lots of painting done yesterday, buckets and boards but came in late on because I was doing more sitting than doing (pull up handful of weeds, sink onto chair, put large bucket onto dolly truck, sit down, take bucket to where it's going, sit on another chair, soil from bucket into raised bed, sit, stack emptied buckets into piles by type, sit, think, try, stay sitting, think, try, give up for the night).
I have been out this morning because two good days mean that the soil/ dust on the flags has dried out a lot and I want to get it up before it rains again. Retrieved wellies (in mum's room so have to go out the side door, walk barefoot , unlock patio doors and pull wellies out without disturbing mum), walked down yard looking for good brush (moved a few things to one side yesterday to aid moving buckets on dolly truck), couldn't see brush and feeling dizzy. Came back and had a shower. Resting - will try again shortly (will put clothes on first, I promise apple and f0xh0les.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
foxholes: Today will be NSD 16, was scuppered yesterday by running out of laundry powder - not too shoddy as I last bought 3 in December so can't really complain in nearly June. Beds stripped and remade before half term on Friday - hence the need for laundry powder.Tip (based on the above from Foxholes, not aimed at Foxholes): if, after you have done your laundry, there are soap suds visible, you have used too much laundry powder; you can actually get away with doing laundry without adding powder the next time! It will help in a pinch, but best is to not use too much powder in the first placeAre you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.595

Evening turtles
Absolutely mental day at work, was working in court all day. Have never had court training so have a tendency to panic when something I'm not sure of comes up, but everything worked out in the end. Feel shattered now though, today was definitely my most challenging day!
Spend day as got train in to work instead of driving (although not sure if that counts), and also bought some maintenance stuff for my bike and a swimming float (all planned). Going swimming soon and then I feel a glass of wine is in order!6 -
