Even on the much more expensive April 2025 v2, it's 14.16p/kWh
Given all the negative wholesale pricing through tomorrow, presumably, Agile's going to be good?

But this does not directly affect those In this forum with our Tracker hats on , unless I still haven't understood the differences between the two tariffs? (negative pricing is exclusive to Agile?)
My edit: I accept that a low wholesale price will affect what Trackers pay for the day even if they are spared the hourly fluctuationsTelegraph Sam

so if the wholesale average daily price were to go negative, Trackers' costs / profits for the day would be limited to the SC?Telegraph Sam

I'm on Tracker December 2024, having been shifted off the October 2023 Tracker.
Is it best I stay on December 2024?0 -

Is there a way in which one can be alerted when new tariff offers become available (fixed and flexible) other than keeping a random watch on All Our Tariffs? And of course keeping tabs on the MSE blogs.Telegraph Sam

I have been trying to consult the Cheap Energy Club where I am registered, for an update. I've re-checked my personal details and even putting in the most flexible filters the only response that I can get is "We're sorry, but there are no deals which match your filter options." Re-setting the filters does not seem to change anything. Is anyone else experiencing the same? I am trying to find a moderator-helpline that I can report my difficulties to.Telegraph Sam

Morning all.
Currently on Octopus Tracker (July 2024), and happy with it. Averaged 20.43p electricity and 4.79p gas over the last month, far below the cap (24.19p and 6.63p respectively).
I am, however, about to get an EV. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best approach for me now? Agile looked viable and means a nice rate overnight etc. to charge, though at the potential expense of increased cost during the day (which may well balance out). I also see there is Octopus Go, but that looks like it offsets cheap EV charging rates with a much higher unit rate (currently c.27p). What have others done?
Is there a website i can bung in my usage data over the last couple of months to compare what the costs would've been with various tariffs?0 -
@LessThanSte - Without having done the maths myself recently I would imagine that you would not want to ignore the standing charges in the calculations. The larger the consumption the more any advantage from lower unit kWh's will offset any negative differences in SC's - and v.v.
I'd imagine that your first port of call for tariff comparisons would be Octopus Compare.
What I wrote above could have been worded more clearly. Improvements welcomeTelegraph Sam
