I'm on Octopus tracker. (Only been back on it for a few weeks.) Do you think it's worth taking a fixed tarrif with all that's going on in the Middle East?0

I wouldn’t fix but that’s me, certainly wouldn’t react to all the knee jerking in 5 days.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy2

There’s a pretty good Octopus fix available at the moment, and if you value peace of mind it’s a good bet. I could go back onto Tracker, but I’m not biting. Too little saved over the summer months as against my current fix, and too much risk of a hike in fixed prices before the winter months. No simple answer though - all crystal ball.pearl123 said:I'm on Octopus tracker. (Only been back on it for a few weeks.) I'll give it two weeks and then make a decision.debitcardmayhem said:I wouldn’t fix but that’s me, certainly wouldn’t react to all the knee jerking in 5 days.0 -

It's nice to see Tracker gas back near 5p, after being above 5.5p for a few days.Podseas said:UK wholesale gas prices back to the levels they were at the end of April - 77p/therm vs 98p last week.N. I confess to not following gas prices so closely over the summer months (assuming no climatic disasters). On the other hand Elec and winter require more research.Telegraph Sam

I guess that you are referring to the 12 M Fixed June 2025 v 1 @ 24.51 / kWh and 58.46 / dayDoc_N said:

Was just coming on to say it's nice seeing gas below 5p. Alas I'll use little to none tomorrow as it's cheaper to heat the thermal store on Agile electric.1

Of course low summer use is one reason gas is cheap. I’ve fixed with outfox. Elec 20.4 and gas 5.8 for 2 years. Can’t be arsed constantly worrying about the daily changes in pricesBendo said:Was just coming on to say it's nice seeing gas below 5p.
