Received notification today that my gas Tracker is coming to an end soon (it's 49 days from the end date) - if I renew now on Tracker April 2025 v2 (by clicking on the email link?), does the current fixed-term run its course, or is it an immediate switch?
Octopus usually let the current deal run its course.

Currently with octopus on Tracker for gas and fixed 23.49p for electricity.
Swaying towards Fuse at 20.38p and 45p standing charge or jumping to Tracker for electricity. Genuinly not sure how much further these fixes can fall . They are obviously priced in on forecasting models but there could be an energy war !

@Telegraph_Sam you can use the Guy Lipman website to get consumption profile data for your usage and this will give you a guide as to how suitable Agile would be for your situation. Here is mine for YTD:
As you can see, I have quite a lot at the 4-7pm period, which I would struggle to shift, being a low user overall, and as we move into the summer months the morning consumption will reduce.
I'll certainly be running the numbers of Agile vs Tracker regularly as we go forward.
Do you still use guy lipman to run your numbers, if he is still in operation? And does he, and Octopus Compare, take account of SC's without which the numbers would be fatally flawed?  Same applies to all the tracking sites of course.

Got my Tracker gas bill today. There must've been missing data as Octopus have used their generic consumption profile rather than my actual daily data. However, their profile shifts my gas use later in the billing period (when gas was cheaper) so I think I've saved a few pence on the deal :D

This has always been where my understanding falls short: That there are users who are that dedicated that they spot occasional glitches in Tracker and even more in Agile data. Or is there an online gismo that does the legwork for you? [alias AI]

I am not aware of any obvious gaps in my bills. Am I just lucky? Or non-observant? Or is there an alert?

You can check for missing data here: https://www.octopriceuk.app/missingData

I regularly have missing gas data every month and was regularly complaining to Octopus. When I switched to the fix, they gave me £10 a month for all the months I had been complaining, total £120.
I am still using the above site to check for missing data and there have been gaps of approx 24 hours every 19 days but Octopus are not interested now I'm on a fix.
