I suspect that you're right. How do I get out of it ? =  question to administrators. I'm locked out of that forum.

Is this still MSE, or are you talking about a completely different forum?
If you can post here on Energy, you can also post on Green & Ethical.

There is an MSE Solar specific forum with threads that would be deemed off topic here. You plays by the rules!

    Now I'm intrigued!
Green & Ethical is here, is where all the solar geeks hang out discussing solar stuff:
You're saying there's another separate Solar forum on MSE? Can you share a link?
(Apologies to Tracker people, I'm hoping we can clear this up quickly.)

That link goes to a thread you started in January this year on the MSE "Energy" board - this one, the same board as the Tracker thread that we're using right now to discuss it.

I admit that I find it confusing. But I reckoned on getting shot down if I went  into detail on solar panels in what serves as a platform for Tracker queries. But I have now emailed the admin people to see if they can unlock me in the former.

    🤔
I've never heard of someone being locked out of a single thread before. Do let us know what the problem is, once you get it sorted out.

I tried to pursue this topic on the solar forum, but the system has blocked my reply ("too few characters in body text" or something).
The "too few characters" error means there aren't enough characters in the message you're trying to post. The solution is to add more. You could just pad if out with dots, or even spaces.

Either way it's an issue with that particular post, not a block on your account.

I am confronted with the Preview, Save Draft, Post Comment screen. This will not accept any (edit) input whatsoever from me, forwards, backwards, nowt. If that doesn't amount to a lock-out, then it's a freeze ... It's up to the admin people now.
I'd be curious to know how to retrieve a draft once it's saved and it's business as normal.
