    thanks for the link

the formula for my area shows a small decrease in the price compared to the previous october formula (but obviously more expensive than my current 2023 formula)

like many other I got the tariff renewal email today which has prompted me to come to this forum for the first time in ages so Im trying to get back up to speed on my options

may look into tomato energy if I get time but right now Im just renewing the tracker

I received my email today too. I'm not planning on making a decision for a couple of weeks or more (note I have Tracker for gas only, electricity is IOG).

It would be unwise to take any action until the last minute if you are renewing to the more expensive version. You never know what might turn up in the mean time and you'll be able to take up the renewal right up to the expiry of your current term. If you end up choosing something different, then letting the current term expire and then switching will keep your options open to return to Tracker within 9 months (although I think it very unlikely anyone would want to).

Thanks for all the helpful comments. Indeed December 24 version is slightly cheaper than October 24. I have decided to leave it until the last minute to decide for the reasons Masonic has given.

I made my decision. Currently I'm on Tracker Dec23 ending 15th Feb for electric and variable for gas.
A bit of pricing up based on my average yearly usage (own figures). Shows the difference between the various options as less than £35. I've therefore fixed both on the Dec V1. Logging into my account using the change tariff tab resulted in both Gas and Electric fixes starting on the 15th Feb (even though the gas is currently SVT). I have a monthly DD figure of £59 so I went back and checked and my account still says I'm on variable DD. The £59 figure is presumably for information only.

I did look at Tomato which would have been about an £80 to £90 saving per year but I prefer the devil I know.

anyone think new tracker is more expensive then December Fixed for Electricity?
Because it’s a tracker, that’s not possible to predict. But the closure of the Ukraine pipeline today does make me wonder whether the current range of fixes for gas will be removed shortly.

I have decided to Fix for 12 months starting 15th February. This is for gas only.

I have made a good saving on tracker gas over the last three years.

Tried to change from Gas tracker dec 23 to 12 month fix using the "change my tariff" link within the Octopus account page but it shows my electric and gas even though I have only gas with Octopus.  I did not want to risk proceeding for fear that my electricity supply would be  moved to Octopus.

I have emailed them requesting they change it over to fix for me.  Anyone else had similar issue and found a resolution?

I messaged them reluctantly via X. They sorted it within 30 minutes.

I’m not seeing any change my tariff links, but probably because my December 23 Tracker doesn’t expire until the end of February. Can only be done manually it seems. I see no gas only fix on Octopus, but maybe that changes for existing customers on Tracker.
