Has anyone done any comparisons of the latest Tracker with the latest Agile? As an indication of the way things are going for those on Dec 23 v1 as Feb 2025 approaches. The choice(s) that we will be faced withTelegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
For west mids,
6.16p on Dec 24
6.37p on Oct 24
5.91p on Dec 23 (my current tariff)
My fix starts soon, locked in at 5.74p / kWh.
Will have to see how that plays out and exit free of charge if need be.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)1 -

There's not *much* in it though, and I suspect it could be the late night / early morning showers (electric shower) and the DHW heating at 5.30am that probably tip it in Agile's favour.1 -
New formula out today:
https://octopus.energy/tracker-faqs/
That may throw a small spanner into the works, a lower formula than Oct 24 for Eastern electricity anyway. Still, got a month and a half to compare the new formula with the other options being considered. We do use a lot of electricity so fine margins are amplified for us.
[But ultimately we are fortunate to be able to afford to use what we need, even if we don't end up choosing whatever turns out to be the absolute cheapest tariff.]2 -
How interesting. I suspect that it will take a little time before the new formula gets Compare-able so it will be good to hear our regular gurus' verdictsTelegraph Sam

I had my renewal email today offering renewal to the latest version of tracker. They have given no prices. Does anyone know what is the latest version is for West Midlands. If it is October 2024 I may be better accepting that one before they announce a newer one for January 250
