I think Agile April 2024 is a strong contender for the default comparison. So far I have been able to undercut (just) this tariff with Tracker Dec 2023 but I can see it being all change next FebTelegraph Sam

gas getting closer to oct fixes, this is also having a knock on effect with everyones electric on tracker and agile so nobody is escaping
and newer versions of tracker way past oct fixes0 -
I'm on December tracker, ending 01/03/05. Is that when I should expect to be moved on to a more expensive formula? Don't fully understand how it all works, just keep an eye on the prices on @Octo_Tracker and I can see it's still just about cheaper than any fix I can get, so holding my nerve for now.1

At the end of the 12 month Tracker, if you continue on Tracker then you will move on to the current version with whatever the formula is at the time for another 12 months.
I am also on the December Tracker ending around the end of Feb. I will stick with it for the time being unless the average price rises above the 12 months fix price. If it does then I will switch to the 12 month fix.
When it gets closer to renewal time I will see what the rates are doing then and decide but it is clear that Tracker is not as 'good' as it used to be and each time Octopus revise the formula it is not in the customers favour.
I suspect quick to rise, slow to fall will be the tracker formula going forward in an attempt to get more people to move off it.0 -

I see that the SO Energy So Tulip is now being promoted [by Uswitch] as the cheapest available fixed tariff. Usual problem re comparing fixed with variable tariffs incl Tracker.Telegraph Sam
