Could you possibly quote the comparative figures you are working on? Incl SC's. There will obviously be some variation in the case of Tracker (and more so with Agile). I am reluctant to give up the former and go to the back of the 9 month queue (unless there is a very big incentive to do so)Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know1 -
There's quite a difference between the current Tracker and Dec 23. I'll be sticking it out for one more winter, and then very likely I'll move to something else when my Dec 23 expires in mid-February.

With the projected 1% drop in prides Jan 2025 I would expect tracker prices to be broadly similar to the past 3 months.
If you take the figures from the east of England that means and average price over the past 90 days of 21.71p on the latest July 2024 v1 tracker formula for electricity that's still a 13% saving over SVT
Gas average just under 5p (we don't have gas so not the best to advise here)
I think tracker holds its own if you are able to afford a risk or a global event.
For comparison Agole averaged 12p for electricty for us over the past 90 days being able to load shift.0 -
There could be a new formula for Tracker or even Agile tomorrow0

Unlikley imo as they have, in the past, released that info at least 2 weeks earlier on the tracker faqs page.
But you never know.
I honestly think Octopus know they overdid it on the July formula so will just leave that as is.0 -
Has the price cap gone up or down? If down, probably unlikely. If up, maybe, but I would think for Agile it would be unlikely unless something major has shifted in what makes up the SC or the non-energy costs in the unit rate.
Tracker, if a new one came out tomorrow I would mainly be surprised at them not giving any notice of the new formula.masonic said:There's quite a difference between the current Tracker and Dec 23. Hi folks, I’m a very amateur Tracker customer - check the daily rates & put off lots of washing or drying if it’s going to be cheaper tomorrow, but that’s about it
I’m on the Dec 23 Tracker.
Saw the comments above about switching to the 15 month fix - it does seem a better value fix than most, but still seems a bit pricier than the approx average in Tracker…? Are there strong reasons to consider fixing right now?Any advice welcome 🙏0
