Just the 7.5p cut in my electric rate between today and tomorrow then.
Disappointed to hear they have changed the formula again, no doubt I will be shoved onto that in February at the end of the "year". Agile looking more appealing as time goes on.0 -
Tomorrow is the first day since we got the battery, that import price (12.39p) will be lower than our export price (15.00p).0

Agile average price for the whole day less than 4p kwh for linear usage. But with a battery scheduled they will pay you 2p to charge it then you export at 15p so you make 17p kwh excluding charging and discharging losses,

I went to tracker as a halfway house between svc and agile when we first got solar and the battery as agile is a lot to get your head around to start off with, when you don't know what your generation and usage is going to be like. I swapped to Agile after a few months. To be honest, unless you're prepared to check daily and take advantage of the cheaper import slots, and do some forced export at 15p, there's not a lot of difference between the December Agile and April Tracker rates for us at the moment as we're mostly using power off the panels and battery. Whether this will change come the winter I don't know.Make £2025 in 2025

i'm still on original pricing from lastyear so the new standing charge price rise hasnt hit me YET
contract is up in nov, as i've just checked of the new standing charge price rise across all areas, adding a extra £6.20 per month, and also a increase on unit price, as i say my contract is up in nov and will be jumping ship onto agile i can shift usage from peak times and washing to during the night

For the past 7 weeks I have been shifting the export component (only) of my (Scot Power) FIT's to Octopus Fixed Outgoing @ the 15 p that you quote. It should "happen" any day now. I'd be keen to hear from anyone who has trod this way before. No batteries.
Meanwhile I remain on Tracker whilst dithering over whether to switch to Agile (now that switching back to Tracker in the autumn is not possible). Limited load shift. When I do an Octopus Compare does this take account of standing charges of the tariffs being compared?Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -

Very interesting indeed. I've been lucky up to now in that Cole H at Octopus seems to have taken "ownership" of my move, and he would be my port of call if my experience is the same as yours. Do you / we use the smart meter (one of the registers) to moniter that the exported kWh's are being recorded correctly - assuming that progress gets beyond where you got to ? !!Telegraph Sam

Octopus should be picking up the necessary readings from the smart meter, but I’m guessing they’re not, but haven’t yet admitted it. They’re hoping, I think, that I’ll just give up and accept the lower payments based on 50% deemed. I’m taking photos of all the various meter readings to back up any eventual claim.0
