Further observation: What are shown as Totals for Agile and Tracker respectively do not seem to equate to the sum of the individual period values.Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -

When one is below the other then it is the cheaper tariff for that half hour. The bars show consumption. The table covers 24 hours, but only part of it is visible in the screenshot. The total is of the whole table. So the interpretation is easy when you understand that. You could install the Octopus Compare app on your tablet and generate your own comparison, which would give you a definitive answer for yourself based on historic data.2

National average figures for Wednesday as well as at least most days this week show Agile inc peak as well as off peak period so much cheaper than Tracker December version.masonic said:Spies said:You don't have to shift out of the peak period, I would have saved yesterday on Agile vs the new Tracker formula even though the oven was used in that period.Don't I? It seems my data suggests otherwise.
If those figures are correct interested customers should be doing own usage region comparison. (something you suggested in later post)

We know that the hike in Tracker rates is higher in some regions than others. In my case the increase is one of the lower ones, but IIRC those in the SE saw bigger rises, for example. The data above shows that comparisons with your region and your usage data are the only ones to go by. It could be misleading to act on anyone else's comparison or conclusions. If only I could be on Tracker during the week and Agile on weekends I could get the best of both worlds.

Just to be clear, even if the missing data is in a period when you did not use any gas, it will still cause Octopus to bill you on average - that's why you need to check on an app that actually detects the difference between zero consumption and missing data. I had this issue and I found that there were one or two slots of missing data, but they were at times that I didn't use any gas anyway so I wouldn't have noticed it on Bright.FreeBear said:masonic said:
Missing data is usually responsible for this. Resulting in the index readings and typical profile being used to calculate daily consumption.FreeBear said:Anyone else getting billed on a (roughly) daily average consumption ?On a couple of days last week, I used 0.27kWh and 17.84kWh the next. Yet on my bill, it is showing as 5.4kWh and 6.21kWh for the same days... Whilst the difference is only pennies, I find the lack of accuracy to be irksome and doesn't provide any incentive to make savings when the price surges.Sorry, I don't buy in to this missing data thing. Both Bright and the Octopus graphs show when I consumed gas to within a few minutes. Electricity consumption is also showing up (and being billed correctly). It might be that some days, I'm consuming less than 1kWh of gas - Maybe that is causing the Octopus system to conclude data is missing.. In the meantime, I'll wait for Pete to respond to my email.

Octopus all tariff list indicates today (possibly other days as well) Agile should be cheaper than current tracker version for at least some customers in Yorkshire region)masonic said:We know that the hike in Tracker rates is higher in some regions than others. It's 17.3p today here in E Mids. I haven't calculated the average Agile rate but it was around 13p when I got up this morning and will be around 28p when I get home just after 4 pm. My average Agile cost would probably end up around 19p, but would be much lower if I was at home during the day.bristolleedsfan said:

I wish they would remove that new banner stating "Note: All Tracker customers have now been moved to the December 2023 v1 Tariff" - it's not true - I am still on Tracker v3 until end of June.BellaBlondykeTheThird said:
