Tariffs changed from 15.17p to 17.49p (+13p increase in s/charge), and 3.48p to 3.73p. As usual in Scotland, is the electricity s/charge that grates the most!

Really not right considering how much green energy you produce up there.

It will be interesting, I hope, to collate feedback from readers once the new rates have got themselves bedded in and people can speak from actual experience. Including views on Agile as an alternative for those unable or not opting to do a major load shift, all things incl SC's considered

My App says I'm now on December 2023 V1 Tariff.
Expires 15 Feb 2025

My gas Tracker is now Dec 2023 v1 but has the old end date of 17/06/2024

Are you sure?  Octopus pretty much announced that everybody was on the new pricing from today, regardless what it might have said about tariff end dates in your account.

Are you sure?  Octopus pretty much announced that everybody was on the new pricing from today, regardless what it might have said about tariff end dates in your account.

Sufficient stamping of feet (formal complaint) has led to some getting a reprieve.

Others have apparently been missed from the communications.

Are you sure?  Octopus pretty much announced that everybody was on the new pricing from today, regardless what it might have said about tariff end dates in your account.

Others have apparently been missed from the communications.

Many have stayed quiet (no stamping of feet required) and their fixed date has remained on their account and still remains so today with the old formula price showing for today to back that up.

Lots of inconsistencies being reported across other Socials.

Some switched to tracker last month got put on November 22v1 fixed term until January 2025, even saw posts elsewhere someone switched to tracker December 2023, when subject of SC came up few days later that person relayed being on SC that related to original v1/v2.

I suspect there may have been some finger trouble on the part of Octopus staff when some joined up after 11th December and they got put on the wrong tariff. I actually swapped to gas tracker on that date without knowing about the increase, and got put on the old rate.

Posted elsewhere, would not surprise me if that person changed to Agile from today and has been told 9 months tracker waiting time will not apply.

"we also went through complaints our end date was July. We decided not to reinstate it but took a generous good will gesture added to our account which will be far and above the difference in the tracker formula between now and July 2024"
